OK, you guys asked me about wicca, well I'm going to give you some answers.

First off, Billionfold, I would NOT put a hex on your Mother, as a rule. Whatever energy you put out will come back at you. For me to take action in this way, someone would have to be being hurt very badly. I would be opening myself up to all kinds of bad energy. I know you were just joking, but it is a serious subject.

TokingAsianGuy, yes, I do spells. Spells are basically just prayers with props. (Catholic church does it all the time!) I don't do them often because they take a lot of energy and there are often unforeseen results (One gal I knew did a "Love spell" on "Jim"- well, a "Jim" became interested in her, but it wasn't the one she had in mind-lol). Usually I am doing healing spells on myself or others. I am fortunate in having what I NEED and feel little reason to ask for more.

MastaChronic, I feel inadequate in advising you on what books to read. It's kind of like steak and onions vs liver and onions- both are from the same animal, but taste quite different. The books are the same way- it all depends on your taste! Just keep in mind the old Chinese proverb- "There are many paths up the mountain, the view from the top is the same." Goddess will speak to you and show you your way up the mountain. When it comes to wicca, following the Rede is the hardest part. "And if it hurts none, do as ye will". At first glance, it seems a permission to do ANYTHING! Yet in reality, it means you must consider every action for possible harm to others. Wiccan life is restrictive- that which you send out returns threefold to you. We are responsible for all that we do. Christianity is a lot easier path- say "Yes, I accept you", and all is forgiven! Wicca is a harder row to plow. NO forgiveness, just total responsibility for all your actions. Are you ready for that? :confused:It ain't easy! Love ya all- Granny:stoned:

thanks for that StormCrow. i'm carving out my own beliefs (religious or not) as i experience life. but my thirst for knowledge compels me to ask qustions and seek answers just for the sake of knowing. after all knowledge isn't power, knowledge is empowering.

true, but money can only be empowering if you know what the value of it is. ;)
