Bubblicious; can it become Purpz?

Is there a way to turn certain strains purple? I heard or read that if you lower the temperature it will turn it purple. Is this correct or is there another ways to do what I want to do.

if temps drop to 50 or below, some strains begin to change colour; like leaves on a tree...
