I was talking to my sister not too long ago who is basically a narc, which sucks cuase if she finds out i smoke or anything, she will throw my ass in rehab...she is the leader of some organization that cracks down on drug usage and underage drinking throughout the country but she is based in DC...i was talking to her about drugs and how they should educate kids, and we talkd about DARE..im sure plenty of you kids had DARE classes in middle school, i remember saying to myself, man after leaving that class i have a detailed step by step memory of how to use pretty much ANY drug..hahhaha
well they are finally getting rid of it, i couldnt find any news articles, but this website had some info on it

Thats really fucked up your sis is a narc. You should educate her and maybe she'll come to her senses, like this guy - http://www.hightimes.com/ht/news/content.php?bid=1138&aid=24
Glad to see they are doing away with DARE though. What a dumb idea to begin with.

If I'm on AIM, and tell my friends I'm FUBAR, they're like "Uh, your typing is fine..."
But as an English major, I can type in perfect grammar stoned, drunk, hell, even on SALVIA I can manage.
No one believes me until they smoke with me, and test my typing skills :D

after DARE, i was convinced that marijuana was as bad as crack-cocaine. we should teach our youth about drugs in a bipartisan, unbiased, truthful way. just the facts. why? because if they are going to use drugs at all, they should do it safely with enough knowledge under thier belts to make a decision to or not to use.

MADD (mothers against drunk driving) were in the news up here recently because 82% of their money went to telemarketers and door knockers. haha.

"It will make you feel very happy and relaxed"
"Some consider marijuana not to be a drug"
"It gets you high and those who do smoke say it is a pleasant experience"
"But dont smoke it"
Fuckin retards.

Dude you must have been one hell of a smart 5 year old to be in 6th grade!
rofl 6th graders are usually 12...if you were 5 you'd be in school since you were a baby and still have to skip a grade...or two, considering kindergarten.

Y'know they call it DARE, Drug Abuse Resistance Education but they might as well call it WARE, Weed Abuse Resistance Education. When we were in the 6th grade all they mentioned was weed and alcohol. I don't see why weed is the #1 target in every anti-drug organization lol.

Because weed is the most widely used illegal substance, and they probably believe in the whole "gateway" shit (yes, I know its dis proven, but you can't disprove ignorance...) so they most likely feel like they are "cutting the problem off at the source"
They really need to educate about harder drugs, 'cause kids DO use them. You know what one of my friends said to me once? "You know what would be trippy man? Crystal" as in meth...he had no clue how bad it was. He thought acid was bad, in fact, I mentioned acid and he said "nah man" and then the bit about meth.
Had he gotten his hand on some meth, he coulda become an addict. I really didn't know much about it till I started researchin', no clue thats what meth is.
Also I read an article on hight times that a ton of kids were using heroin 'cause the town didn't have lots of weed.
On an MTV show, I think maybe "true life: heroin addict" then it mostly showed teens. Prices have dropped and usage has increased, one clip showed a girl get like $10 from her mom, and she went and shot H.
Why is there no anti-heroin commercials? Fucking christ. If kids don't hear that its bad, they won't think it.

Yeah, I was wearing my D.A.R.E. shirt like everyday. I didn't really like or dislike drugs in the 6th grade but the D.A.R.E. shirt was the biggest shirt I had so I wore it so I could have something that actually fitted how I liked it lol. After I realized I hated D.A.R.E. because of how gay they were I took the shirt in the backyard one day and set it on fire on top of some cinder blocks. Hey, the shirt was free..why not? :p
