What with all the sadness....

.... and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth
reflecting on the almost unnoticed death last week of a very
important person.

Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully
at home. He was 93.

Sadly, the most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the
coffin.

They put his left leg in...

and thats when the trouble began. :D

i'm sorry, but i fail to see the humor in laughing at someone's death..... i have nothing against you personally, but i wouldn't even laugh at adolf's death.... maybe it was the way i was raised?

Oh silly no one is laughing at his death. I am laughing at the song. Do you know the Hokey Pokey song? Trust me Mr. La Prise is laughing too. I can't think of a better way to honor him than with laughter.

of course i know what the hokey pokey is...... but, there's just no way i could laugh, or express humor at anyone's death, no matter how it may be. i'm not saying you're bad person or anything of the like, i was just stating my personal stance on the situation....

I don't see death as a horrible thing that should not be respectfully joked about AND my dad worked in a morgue so to me it was funny. Maybe you have not reached that stage in your life so I am really sorry you were offended slipknot.

PEACE

lol it didn't offend me >.< maybe you just didn't understand what i was saying... i was just merely stating i couldn't laugh at anyones death (definately not after my brothers funeral) no matter the circumstances at hand..... hope you understand what i'm saying now, cuz i really don't want to come off as 'that person'..... this is afteralll, a messageboard which messageboards were created for sharing opinions and i was just trying to share mine (i have nothing else to do, but reply to posts, yours just happened to be there :D)

I love you slipknot.... You have made me laugh on more than one occasion. I am sorry it felt wrong to you, and now I can understand you not thinking it funny. I am sorry. Smoke a peace pipe?

I feel like everything in life needs to be laughed at..I liked that joke BlueCat. :)

I get in trouble for not taking life seriously enough. How can people yell at me for that? :-\

Well I glad you liked it phoenix :) I'd never yell at you.

Positive outlooks are great...you'll go far in life that way.

I love the saying: Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone...
