Everyone is always talking about classic rock and rap, but what are some indie(y, or whatever) bands ya'll are down with? These days its The M's, British Sea Power (Do they count anymore?) of course the The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I got to throw in some mad good twee-pop in Architecture In Helsinki and a band that is actually from Helsinki, Shogun Kunitoki (There first album came out a few months ago, you got to check it out, simply amazing, sounds like a crystal palace, seriously). And finally Of Montreal and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yelstin.
What have you found?..

Of Montreal is the shit.

These days I'm more into more harder indie like Lighting Bolt, and Shellac.

hell yeah, lightning bolt puts on one crazy show.

Right now I'm into bands like Drives like Jehu, Pitchfork, Fugazi, Cinemechanica, and we versus the shark.

I'm also really into elliot smith, The Decemberists, Minus the Bear, The Dismemberment Plan, Damiera, umm lots of stuff heh

I bet lighting bolt puts on a crazy show. I can't wait until they come to town. They're hard enough, they put most death metal bands to shame.

I love Elliot Smith, he's a genius, it's just so sad he had to kill himself like that, he could've made more great music. It's cool you dig most of the band I do.

well at first it was bands that weren't on huge record labels or they weren't on them at all and recorded their music themselves. Now it's more like a term for music that doesn't sound generic/radio friendly. I could probably go into more detail but im high and i dont feel like typing, hahah.
