I agree...I really don't see why hes like so, infamous. Like, theres plenty of other murderers out there. If someone knows then please fill me in.

I don't know much about him, but I know he killed some people, and that ain't cool. Wasn't good for the counter-culture at the time either, and I personally dislike him for that.

he didnt personally kill anybody, what he did was brainwash a bunch of hippies into thinking he was god and that the end of the world was going down and they had to find a safe spot and that they had to kill certain people to kick start the end of the world.

first of all this isnt the first time he's been up for chance of parole. he's failed to meet the requirements for whatever reason and been failed every time. personally i think they'll never let him out. i mean come on think about it. the guy is famous if you dont know for being in and out of prison since he was a teenager. most famous he is known for having a cult group of hippies who apparently did a lot of acid and went to go fuck with sharon tate and like 5 or 6 other people i think the same night. wrote messages in blood, one person was stabbed some rediculous amount like 10-20 times if i remember correctly. ive read though that he actually wasnt much of an acid head but really into stimulants like coke. but uh... yeah the guy has a permeant swastika carved in his head from like '86. i think what differs him from other "serial killers" or just famous killers in general, its the fact that he didnt really kill anyone he just told other people to go brutally kill people. so yeah..manson...

i also heard that NIN's The Downward Spiral (which i think is a fucking killer album) was recorded in sharon tates house before it was bulldozed and i read in marilyn mansons autobiography, before it was gone i guess trent reznor went back to the tate house and stole the door. so i guess alegedly reznor has the tate door in his studio where ever that is.

sharon tate was pregnant with polanskis baby when she was murdered by Mansons crew. that shit really grinds my gears.

I know he has a fucking swastika on his forehead. Which tells me he is most likely a racist. So, fuck him. Let him rot in prison forever.

he's got nothin on the Iceman, but he was doing it for money..... Manson was just a whackjob killing for nothing...... and he won't get parole because he is so famous in the US, there would be so many people protesting against it......

Are you talking about the song by The Beatles? That was about a roller coaster in Liverpool of the same name. Manson came up with it after The Beatles.

I like some of CM music he made in prison. Just him singing and a guitar. Not bad, some of it, but as for what he did, I would say he's a little nutty, and I wouldn't want to be his friend.

I did see a show on TV that was filming in the same prison that he was in and they showed some spiders that he had made off the threads of clothes. They looked pretty cool.

Firstly, why would anyone want him to be released, if you take someones life yours should be taken in return, its not fair to murder people and still live, its just unjust and secondly as geonagual said he i a fucking racist and should be locked up and rot in his cell.
just my opinion

Ditto. Besides, he's been in jail so long...how would he function in society? Things have changed. He's probably safer anyway...behind bars.

He's going to get the same results as last time. He will never get out of jail and thank god psychos like that arent allowed to walk the streets. I haven't fully researched what manson has done, but I know he's still an asshole.

there is people who have commited way more murders than him, just randomly, mutch worse people out there that have been released from jail.

so, the question, if i was just chillen, in my usual spots, on haight, geary, market, kearny, octavia, the tenderloin, etc. in San Francisco, and i saw charles manson walking down the street. i would sit down, smoke a joint with him, and hope he tells me some stories. could be very interesting. you know, no video cameras, no interrigating, nothing, just treat him with respect like anyother human. and hear what he had to say.

and yes, i would have to be carrying a gun, lol.

Actually, it costs the state (and therefore you, the taxpayer) more to put someone to death than it costs to keep them in prison for life. Just some food for thought.

personally, i think due to the nature of his crimes he should never be able to live outside of prison. He still has the skills that he used before to brainwash people, except now because of his infamy he has a much larger base of followers, some of whom who'd probably kill for him with very little encouragement.

AmazinGrace
12-22-2006, 10:14 PM
he won't get out. He won't act sane long enough. When asked if he believes in Jesus, he says, "Man, I am Jesus!". if he truly wanted out, he'd stop that rot. He's been institutionalized for probably at least 2/3 of his life. He wouldn't be able to function on the outside.

I've heard that before but think it's a crock. Honestly, a nice jolt of electricity or a lethal injection doesn't cost that much. Keeping it tied up on the court system with appeals is what costs us.

there are certainly heaps more individuals who have commited more crimes than manson. but none of them have the influence he had. Manson had the ability to control a large number of people. enough control to get them to do horrific things.

he was right when he said "Man, I am jesus". he pretty much had a cult. a band of followers and believers.

someone with that much influence, shouldn't be let out, especially if they could potentially harm others.

i just woke up, so my brain isn't working at full capacity, but somewhere in this post is truth.

I read books with that character in them back in the 90s, they were good books. There was a series of books with him in them weren't there?
I remember when the book Helter Skelter came out back in the 70s and the movie too.
Charlie first came up for parole in 76 and was denied then as he will be when he comes up again. As long as there are people from the Folgers empire still alive, Charlie will never see the light of day on the outside.

mansons mad interesting. blown way out of proportion though, didnt have no fuckin "cult" or "family", it was just a bunch of mothafuckaz chillin and doing drugs that lived in a house. one of their friends got fucked over in a drug burn or some shit liek that and killed a guy in self defense, and then the next murder was a copycat murder to get their friend out of jail (cuase the law would think the real killer was still out there) that they thought up of when they were on waaaay too much acid and amphetamines. he probly didnt even remember telling them to do it the next day, let alone by the time the trial came and etc. but the media really fucked him over if you look into it (not justifying what he did, just saying). i have one of his albums, some of the shits interesting, its like country shit tho which im not into.

Uhhh are you sure about that??
Here in Australia it costs taxpayers $60,000 a year to keep a man in prison.... Times that amount by how many years he is in prison for.....

Meh, every so often someone or something inspires the morbid curiosity that's imbedded within humans, probably due to the fucked up movies we watch, music we listen to and games we play. It doesn't mean that person was any more anything than any one (lol), they just struck a nerve, so to speak.
