Using Urine for Fertilizer

No joke, I've been looking into using urine for fertilizer. It's free and easy to use. After a little research was done the ratio of choice seems to be 10 to 1 of water to urine.

The nitrogen in your urine helps feed the plants and it's free of course :D

The watering down is to not violently upset the pH.

Has anyone ever heard of such a technigue? Am I crazy? Please feedback of all kinds is welcome.

no it wont... its a good fertilizer... im not sure i would ever use it indoors because it will fuckin stink, but i guess it could be ok for an outdoor grow...

I`d like to know more on this one too, it sounds possible and with a mix ratio of 10:1 there would`nt be any smell.

Don't use it on your indoor plants!!!
Too much of OTHER N forms you DON'T want on your babies. Too available=burns.
Go piss on the compost heap.
That's what piss is for.
Next time you throw a kegger stick a sign on the compost heap that says 'men's room'.

I was working in my grow room up in my attic last night. I suddenly had to pee really bad but didn't feel like making the difficult trip through the insulation and having to balance on the 2" side of a 2 by 4. So I went to each of my eight mothers and gave them a nice trickle of urine. They liked it and looked healthier than ever this morning. I recommend everyone should try this at least once to see how if affects your plants. It probably wont affect the taste of the buds so dont worry.

It's an excellent N source.
Urinating directly into your plant containers will burn your plants. Urine is very potent as a fertilizer. Use it @ 1 TBSP per gallon of water, for a nice low dose.
It doesnt store well tho, mix what you need and get rid of the extra.
Most of the growers I know now, havent bought a Grow fert in years, Bloom only.
It works great in hydro to. I use it, and encourage the gardens I've helped set up, to lose the misconceptions, and use this excellent free fert.

Not if you test the PH after the urine/nute has been added i guess.

old timers used to grow organically with manure, piss, blood and by sticking rusted sticks in the ground. Believe me their pot was more than good.

I'm not sure why people get so disgusted by the thought of using urine as a fertillizer. The same people wouldn't think twice about throwing cow shit, earthworm shit, dead animals (bone, blood meal), even fish emulsion or bat shit on their plant, but for god sake, we can't use piss. I personally don't use it, but I don't know why people say they wouldn't smoke the plant if someone had pissed on its roots. Granted, I wouldn't smoke a bud someone had pissed on, but its a little different in that context.

nah... i never use piss, but stinky is right, piss on your compost pile... throw some sugar on it too... and some blood n bone meal.... then when its ready, it should be some bad-ass compost lol
