ok so i'm preparing for my 1kwhps scog to start in a few months when im done with my probation. i just got a 8inch 747cfm vortex centrifugal inline fan. i need to get a speed control for it. i have never used a fan of this size before or a speed control. does the speed control hook up to the fan or does it hook up to the cord. i want to mount the fan so i can start putting up the mylar but i don't want to have to take it back down to put on the speed control. will it be possible to add the control after the fan is mounted or should i wait till i get it to mount the fan. i work and have 2 kids so i don't have much free time and when i do i have to work on this flower room. that's why i want to get started now, i have the day off!!!!

The one I have is called Dial-A-Temp and it is self contained. Just plug it into a outlet then plug the fan into it...this one cost $25 but I have seen them for about $18 - $19. Hope this helps.

thanks doco, they have one very similar at the harvest moon (hydro shop) which is about 40min away. you plug the control into the wall and then the fan plugs into to control. plug-n-play!!!
