i thought this would be an interesting poll... the percentages of the three main spiritual positions of a large and diverse population of cannabis users...
everyone please contribute to this! these choices are very broad so try to pick the category you feel you best fit into. Thanks!

The poll doesn't necessarily cover enough. I'm an atheist, but also believe in a "higher power". While I've really fallen out of my practices in buddhism in the past couple months (damn college always seems to do that to me with the academic distractions), I plan on reintrograting my practices back into my life very soon ( still shortly delayed because ofanother distraction right now, the nose surgery I just had depriving me of sleep and making me bleed and hurt all the time). Buddhism in its pure form does not require a higher power or level of existence to be an entity of intelligence, or a creator, or a being of some sort.
In the buddhist belief system I follow, the higher levels of reality and powers therein are found in understanding the universe and its nature. Through buddhism this is done by questioning everything (including the buddha's teachings), by understanding the true nature of "self" and how it is not so seperate from the rest of the universe as our ego's fool us into believing, and through contemplation of reality's real nature, and especially how we tie into it.
I imagine there are many other philosophies that are not dependant on this diety-type being as well, even one that encompasses everything. Many systems of thought and spiritual/mental exploration have been devised throughout humanity, and we are unfortunately very limited in exploring them all with the cultural conditioning we all endure.

.
As a Unitarian Universalist, I also believe that any higher power is more of a level of enlightenment than a being or deity, and that all people are able to attain it... for example that would make Jesus not a divine being, but an enlightened one worthy of teaching others.

sorry if you don't feel represented in the poll... its very broad... from what you describe i would go with the belief option...
