what's the problem? light airy buds? low potenty? most likely your conditions are not right. poor lighting/ventillation, high temps/humidity in flower. harvest too early? i use 400hps for my main flower chamber and get close to a lb ofb really good, top shelf headies but i also have a small 350watt cfl scrog chamber which yeilds about a qp and the buds are almost the same quality as the 400hps grow. my point is you can get good bud with low light as long as you use it correctly. if you use cfls you must either flower only small plants or go scrog so you can keep the lights really close to the canopy (2-4inches).
give more info and maybe i can troubleshoot a little better for you. lights, ventillation, temps, ferts, soil/soilless or hydro, strain, etc. would be some of the info to include.

if you are using bagseed this is a common thing, yes bagseed and be great if the herb it came from was as well, but sometimes the seeds just suck.
i used a 150watt hps for my 1st grow and it was very potent stuff from bagseed so it can be done, the strain of the plant is greatly affected on potency then lights, ect.
its a trial and error thing if you can make it to harvest then chances are its more your seeds than you.

It could be a number of things. It could be insufficient lighting that result in low yeilds and light, wispy buds, or it could be the soil and nutrients your are using. How are you drying your buds? Buds should dry naturally and on their own. If you are impatient and super dry your buds using an over, or dehydrater, then yes, your buds will come out nasty.
Are you flushing the soil when harvest time nears? If not, do so. Not flushing will give the buds a harsh smoke and the buds will snap and crackle when burned.
Are you letting the plants finish growing? Harvesting too early will give the buds a green taste, low potency, and no kick when smoked. Harvesting too late and the THC starts to break down.
So it could be a lot of things. Only cure when buds are 85-90% dry. Not fully dry buds put in curing can result in mold.

well i grow in soil. and i am using cfl's for vegg. and a 400 watt hps for flower. i am using foxfarm nutrients grow big and tiger bloom. yes i flush and some were bag seed and some were good seeds i picked up from a friend. it was pure power plant. and the bag seed did turn out worse. but i have a closet set up for vegg. equipped with mylar, a total of about 900 actual watts of cfls some soft white some warm white and also a few daylight color. my flower box is equipped with mylar 2 65 cfm ventilation fans one in at the bottom of the box and one out on the opposite side of the box at the top. watered usually once every other day or as needed. re potted when needed. hang dry all my buds. one of my buddies has been doin this a while also and he cant figure it out neither. i maintain a healthy temp in both setups of about 78 to 84 degrees farenheit. sombody help me please i feel like i am doing somthing completely wrong :( . and yes the buds r usually light and airy i forgot to add that. sorry for takin so long to reply thanks for ur help
