what should be done in the tender first 3 weeks of veg to insure a healthy plant at the end?

Give Light, check soil PH, put in 2-3 gallon pots; did I mention more light? proper feeding/watering(3-5+ days dep. on humidity and soil mix). Oh yeah, lots of love helps too. Anything else? :smoking:

I like to keep my temps on the cool side for the first 3-4 weeks. I've been getting about 70% females using this along with cold water.

they need smaller pots for the 1st few weeks... they should be FLOWERED in 2-3 gals
growing them in those pots wastes tons of light. And it encourages lots of root growth and nothing up top!

how fast will it grow inder cfls?

I want to get MH and HPS lights but i cant find them in my hardware stores, are cfls sufficent enough?

yeh cfls will work, just keep them as close as you can to the growth shoots..

thanks ab, ive seen you all over the site and have seen the dank buds you have produced..madd ups bro, I was wonderin if there was any way to put more co2 in your growroom? is openin the door enough? or is there a way to increase it?

look up a recipe for the yeast sugar water method that will bring up your levels alittle also i see that you live in the u.s home depot has lights look at the out door lighting section there online is ok but there is alot more options at the store and alot of the fixtures can be modified or i see alot of good deals on ebay

im worried about my babies...its only been like 3 days and it grew like 2 inches in the first 2 days but didnt grow a lot today...is this normal? the first set of leaves has opened up with 2 bigger leafs and 2 smaller leaves..they seem green and alive..im probably over analyzing but its my first grow so im always lookin at it

i wouldnt worry about it to much my plants have done that before they will grow alot one day and not alot another, also looking at it alot makes it seem like it hasnt grown at all, try to check up on it less. you will see more growth if you arnt looking at it every hour

yeh, some seeds pop up, gather some energy and momentum, and then grow very well, though some seeds ive had have popped well, but cant seem to develop roots... they eventually die, but it sounds like yours is at the right stage to slow growth for a while.. ..good luck ;)
