Hello Guys & Girls
Is there a rule for the size of the reservoir to the size of the tray?I have a 22"x22"x7"flood & drain tray.How many gal reservoir will this tray take?
What Iam saying is The tray will hold say 10 gals,how many gal. reservoirs would you use? Any help with this is greatly appreciate.

i dont know much about hydro,
but i would say if your tray holds up to 10 gallons before it drains, get a 15/20 gallon bucket/bin and do some test runs, theres no rule that says you have to have a small resevoir...if its too big just dont fill it up as much :)

Your res will hold more than 10 gal, prob more like 15 or 20. You could probably use a 25 gal, but I would just snatch up one of those 30 gal storage containers from Wally Mart. They are about 2 /12x1 1/2x15 inches High. Throw it right under the tray IMO.
PS, friend uses a 4x4 tray and his 45 gal res hardly covers it well enough, so he thinks.

I'am getting all this stuff together to build my cab to veg & clone in.Got to work out all the bugs on paper first. I'am a carpenter & woodworker so the building is no promblen,just air, filter, resvoirs,trays,pumps and all that stuff to work out before.Thanks and merry chrismas peace
