It's honestly the soundtrack to most of my *trips* now-a-days. Something about each and every song makes me feel so alive. Jim was just such a presence on stage, you couldn't help but to watch his every move.
"Alabama Song" ALWAYS brings my mood up. Those first few notes send me into orbit. So do a handful of others, but that one continues to stick out in my head. Same with "The End." The song ain't bad either =) . . Will anyone get that last part? . .
Haha, I love The Doors.

Jim Morrison would have been 28 if he lived a little longer just like Jimi and Janis and Brian and many more of that era went out with their lights burning brightly.
The Doors are one of the all time favorite bands and the way Jim sings the song "Who do you love" blows away George Thorogood's version. I have smoked much weed to the Doors music and will turn on some of their music now as soon as I am done typing this post.

I first heard The Doors when I was 6 years old. "Light My Fire" came on the local radio station right after the theme song from "Hawaii Five-0".
That song hooked me big time and by the age of 15 I had collected everything that they had released up to then; with the exception of a couple of crappy albums that the band had put out after Jim's death.
There are very few singers with the charisma & passion that he exuded.
Yeah, he was a fat, drugged-out drunk near the end.
But, "L.A. Woman" is still one of the best pieces of work that he ever did.

There's a hobo at my subway station near school who is always singing Riders on the Storm. He always makes me smile...

yeah i agree. L.A. women is one of the geatest songs of all time. And i think they're about to put out a huge box set with all there albums and some live dvd i think, or they might already have im not sure. But does anyone else have the preformance of five to one in miami wear jim starts cussing out the crowd and the he gets arrested for showing his penis. Its so awesome.

Of course the Doors are awsome stoned. It's so much their music is good, but the fact that we enjoy living vicariously through them. That's why most bands are good, because of the image the present. And yes, I like the Doors.

I respectfully disagree. The Doors are freaking awesome, but they're not my favorite band to listen to while fucked up.
