I think that anything above 6800 is PCI-E, for nVidia cards that is. So 6800GT would be one of the better ones.

Don't spend any more than 200 on an AGP, you'd be much happier with a PCI-e...

Best card for under $100:GeForce 6600Radeon X700
Best AGP Card For ~$140:Radeon X850 PRO
Best AGP Card For ~$185:GeForce 7600 GT

and, to my knowledge, the RX850 has 12 memory pipelines from the factory, but can be unlocked to 16 with a bios flash, so just get one at best buy, and exchange it till you get one that it works on...

damn, looks like i'll have to upgrade my mb also. forget playin new games this christmas. i don't follow technology for like 2 years and now i don't know wtf is going on.

i might as well just save up and build a brand new computer. maybe i should get a car instead.

on that note, i wish i was a bazillionaire

nah, i hear the radeon x850 can do the new games pretty well, not spectacular, i am in the same boat as you, but i'm gonna stick it out for a while longer...

im running 2 6800gt's in SLi and I can play all the games very well. Just remember to boost up your ram also.
