i started this thread to find some other people who love/believe/etc jesus but believe that smoking marijuana is not immoral. any of you find weed spiritually enhancing? feel out-of-place at churches for related issues?

*raises hand* It is so sad the church is brain washed by the goverment. I feel closer to God when I am high cause I have most of my focus on him.

I hear ya, i get blazed and go to church all the time. I feel im more focused on what going on than anyone else there it seems. I'm currently going through my expensive KJV study bible reading everything slowly and carefully to see if i can find from the word itself any info on herb. Have you not come across the info on erowid and cannabis.net about cannabis and the bible.
I read that it was how Jesus cured the lepers by bathing them in tubs of cannabis oil. All the things like this is one of the many reasons for researching and re-reading the bible to see if that just wasn't some b.s. someone made up. Besides God did say he created all plants and they were good.

Um where do you get your research from.

Like i said above, erowid and cannabis.net are two to start with, but also like i wrote above i'm trying to trace it back to the actual bible. Then again in the first page or so of genesis is where he created all plant and that they were all good. Nothing about exluding pot, so at the moment it stands in the good category, A study bible has about twice as much info as a regular bible and in exodus is where god supposedly told moses to make an annointing oil from kaneh-bosom(cannabis) and various other herbs, but on cannabis.net it said that some bibles misinterpret it as sweet calamus or something like that. I wish i could read an even older intrpretation of the bible than the KJV. The closer you can get to the origional text the more accurate. Like how stories get more further from the truth the more times its been told.

yeah, i totally think jesus blazed. i am pretty sure it was of common use in that era. i could see him using it as herbal medicines to help, but it obviously couldn't have been "a miraculous healing" as described... now are those things accurate? who knows by now... but i do know if more people followed the principles that jesus (not the church) taught, this world would be a much better place.
Can't argue with a statement like that! :greenthumb: (Please note the heavy use of sarcasm. :) )
so you're saying you can argue with it?
