TEHRAN, Dec. 12 ?? A two-day gathering of Holocaust deniers and white supremacists ended Tuesday with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad meeting participants and telling them Israel would not survive long.

??The Zionist regime will disappear soon, the same way the Soviet Union disappeared,? Mr. Ahmadinejad said, according to ISNA, a government-financed news agency. Thus, ??humanity will achieve freedom.?

He also suggested that the work of the government-sponsored conference ?? billed as a chance for ??both sides? on the Holocaust to be heard ?? should continue with formation of a committee to determine whether the mass killings by Nazis of Jews and others really happened.

Mr. Ahmadinejad said the West had used the Holocaust as propaganda to dominate the Middle East.

The conference continued to draw outrage among foreign leaders.

Prime Minister Tony Blair called it ??shocking beyond belief,? Agence France-Presse reported. ??I think it is such a symbol of sectarianism and hatred towards people of another religion, I find it just unbelievable.?

The German chancellor, Angela Merkel, condemned ??in the strongest terms? dismissals of the Holocaust by ??revisionist? historians, and the Vatican described the Holocaust as an ??appalling tragedy to which one cannot remain indifferent.?

The French foreign minister, Philippe Douste-Blazy, called ??the resurgence of revisionist ideas? on the Holocaust ??unacceptable.?

Although the conference, held by the Foreign Ministry, was said to be a chance for scholars to debate the Holocaust, the second day was much like the first. Most speakers, a group that included discredited scholars and a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, called the systematic annihilation of six million Jews a lie fabricated to form the state of Israel.

The former Klan leader, David Duke, said in an interview on Tuesday, ??I think Israel is more afraid of this conference than of Iran having nuclear weapons,? and ??They are afraid a taboo has been broken.?

Mr. Duke said he was at the conference to support freedom of speech.

Despite the promises of open-mindedness, when one participant talked about the scholarship confirming the Holocaust, his views were quickly dismissed.

That speaker, an Iranian historian, Gholamreza Vatandoust, from Shiraz University, said, ??Some facts about the Holocaust have been documented.? But he was criticized immediately by Robert Faurisson, a French academic, who said he had never found documents to support the Holocaust.

One of a few ultra-Orthodox rabbis at the conference, Moshe Ayre Friedman from Austria, said, ??I am not a denier of the Holocaust, but I think it is legitimate to cast doubt on some statistics.?

Howdy Psycho4Bud,

Thanx for posting this article,I'll be interested to see how many Holocuast deniers, comment on this thread. They may not however, beccause of fear of gittin banned.

I would like to remind folks, that arab-muslims worked actively with hitler,in his Africa campaign.

I would also like to ask folks, what do they expect in return for their support of these kind of people ?

As for david duke,I wish that his citizenship would be revoked for consorting with the enemy and that he not be allowed to return to the US. Obviously,he's decided to join the rank and file of the 5th columnists.

Have a good one !

Unreal! There are a few in here that have questioned the holocaust and they're still posting. There are limits that go with a persons discontent though; WE wouldn't tolorate something like "All them fu***** ki*es should die." Ya, when we see a post like that the person is gone from here and ends up whining on a different site.

Have a good one!

*insert random religion here* that worked actively with Hitler. Most Middle eastern states joined the Allies after we drove Hitler out of there. Iran got screwed over by Russia after WW2..

Allies of WW2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allies_of_World_War_II)
Axis of WW2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axis_Powers)

I don't deny the Holocaust and its a shame these people seem to. Look at the people who attended to tell you it was purely BS.
Iran students denounce holocaust denial. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3-2499938,00.html)

Has anyone thought this to be a strategic attempt by them? I see this as there way to test our commitment to free speech. Regardless of 99.9% of us thinking there wrong. Should we jump the gun it would prove to them we don't put are money where are mouth is. Or its possible that Iran wants the US / Israel to make the first attack so its not seen as the aggressor? Iran doesn't yet have a nuke and with what they have, could produce enough for 1 warhead a year.. Would they really risk delivering the payload knowing what will be coming its way?

WE use munitions that contain depleted uranium. Its radiation effects are being seen in Europe / UK (http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=MOR20060302&articleId=2058)

60 years from now the same (mentality) of people will be saying Pearl Harbor, the six day war, 911 (take your pick) didn't happen.

I'm glad they had their get-together, and the whole world saw it, and maybe understands a little better what kind of hateful people we are dealing with.

Bolton backs push to charge Iran's leader on Israel hatred

Robert Tait, Tehran
December 14, 2006

THE outgoing US ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, is backing a call for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be charged with inciting genocide over speeches calling for the destruction of Israel.

Mr Bolton will appear today among a panel of diplomats and lawyers calling for Mr Ahmadinejad to be prosecuted.

The panel has been convened by a Jewish umbrella group in the US, the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organisations.

The call for legal action came as Mr Ahmadinejad repeated his onslaught against Israel at an international gathering of Holocaust deniers in Tehran.

The President, who has dismissed the murder of six million Jews by the Nazis as a myth, told up to 70 visiting speakers that the Israeli state would soon be wiped out. "Thanks to people's wishes and God's will, the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want," he said. "Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be wiped out."

He was praised by several participants for his "bravery and democratic actions" according to a source who was present.

The US and Britain led a chorus of Western disgust at the conference, which the White House labelled an "affront to the entire civilised world".

British Prime Minister Tony Blair condemned the meeting as "shocking beyond belief". "What further evidence do you need to have that this regime is extreme?" he said.

Mr Blair singled out the decision to invite David Duke, a former leading Ku Klux Klan member, as proof of Iran's extremism. Mr Duke praised the event as "a tremendous step forward" and said Mr Ahmadinejad said "sensible things".

Mr Bolton will be joined at the launch of the legal action against Mr Ahmadinejad by a Harvard law professor, Alan Dershowitz, and the former Israeli ambassador to the UN, Dore Gold, together with experts from the US, Canada and Israel.

A suit will be lodged with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which will decide whether to hear the action.

The panel said the Iranian President was guilty of inciting genocide "by making numerous threats against the US, calling for the destruction of Israel and instigating discrimination against Christians and Jews". His words violated a 1948 UN genocide convention, to which Iran is a signatory, they said.

He'll be in good company, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Ashcroft, and Condoleeza, as I think they're going to be called there for Iraq, maybe Powell also, I wish they'd call Bush, I'd love to see him try and stutter his way out of the war crimes!

My guess, they'll come out and say this Holocaust denial conference never happened. It's all just propagana made up by the U.S. govt in our drive to go after Iran next. Anyone wanna take bets on how long it takes for this crazy theory to come up???

Rumsfeld could face charges in Germany but i seriously doubt our government would extradite him. World court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Court_of_Justice) is run by the UN.

show me where i said 9/11 didn't happen...and show me where i said what you claim i said about muslims...

just because i don't believe your conspiracy of freedom hating muslims being expert pilots doesn't equate to that...

then again, to a shallow mind i suppose it does? you've already fallen for one war, you're obviously going to believe whatever is said about any other country we decide to liberate...and probably with the same lies.

and where does the constitution fit into all of this? oh, that's right, even mentioning the constitution makes me anti-freedom, right? in your doublethink world.

Wow Pissy, an actual reply from you without something cut and pasted from prisonplanet.com. I guess I should feel honored.

Not sure what you mean by "you've already fallen for one war". If you mean Afghanistan, Damn right!! The Taliban and Al Qeada got what they deserved. If you mean Iraq, read some more of my posts, you'll see that my feeling about the Iraq war is the same as every other reasonable American (i.e. it's a bullshit war started to satisy some agenda of our dumb-shit President). You see, just because I don't wear a tinfoil hat doesn't mean I support Bush and his cronies. I just have the sensibility not to beleive every wacko conspiracy theory out there.

They aren't speaking for a Government (in the real world;) ) trying to build a nuclear weapon, so I was cutting them some slack.
