ok So i recently aquired some funds for a grow room.
I have a thousand dollars and a 7 x 14 x 7 grow room to use. I want to have a multiple room system with mothers and clones going and flowering plants.
Would I be able to stick two cool tube 1k lights in there?
If i did that how many plants could i stick in their?
Hydro or Soil?
I could set up the mothers room, the flowering room is more the issue

OK, So I am thinking of sticking 32 plants in their on two 4x4 ebb and flow trays. What kind of resovior am i going to need along with any other speculations on other necessities.
Would it be smarter to do soil
I have a similiar size room as you that I use as the flowering room. I also have 2 1000 watters in there but no cool tubes, and no hydro (Promix). Link is in my sig if you want to take a look.
Right now I got 18 plants in 3gal pots and 4 plants in 1 gal pots w/ room for about 6 more in 3gal pots. I like to grow large plants so you could fit alot more if you went for a smaller plant SOG style.

1000.00 won't go very far ,
i suggest you start w/ a single 1000w/ hps a cooltube and very good exhaust fan= hurricane or vortex . and expand like you were talking about in the future so you can in time have a perpetual harvest . as far as ebb n flow i'm no help , never done it . i'm stuck on 5 gal. buckets or waterfarms n grow super mutants now to keep plant count down . as laws in my area suck .

If you aren't trying to buy top dollar lights $1000 will get you more than a great set-up. At least in my book it will lol. I mean I'm not a commercial grower so that would go long ways for me.

Yeah, I actual found all the supplies for the latter set-up within my budget. I still have some questions mainly on subtle design aspects. If anyone one could help on anything that would be great.
The entire room is going to revolve around putting two 1k lights up in two diy bake a round cool tubes.
An inline fan will be attactched to one end leading threw the two lights and a carbon coal filter.
What fan should I use including: cfm, size, type?
I would like to go hydroponic using two 4x4 ebb and flow trays. They would be supplied by a 55 gallon resoviour and submerged pump.
How many plants can I fit in this set up including the capabilities of the light.
Is the resoviour large enough?
What strength pump will I need?
The set up is in a 7x14x7 closed closet; what sort of air intake will I need if any and how can I supply this?
Would bio be a better option for this grow?
I have some products in mind I'll post the links sooner or later.

If you have not grown hydroponically, I recommend using soil as it is more forgiving. With hydro you need to be on top of things daily and many things can go wrong.
Just my opinion. Go with soil.

Go soil to start with and 1k is quite adequate, shop around and read. You should know your requirements.
Unless latewood, GK, or SA (the good guys) come onto your thread saying things - you must read between the lines of certain posters here, your question is FAR too general.... however I say 1K is well enough to start up - no problems. Look after the pennies and the pounds/dollars will take care of themselves!
Good luck - Hall x

you should use two fans. One for the light and one for exhaust ion the room. A 6" 449 cfm fan will cool the two HPS lights. You can use something smaller for the exhaust.
I cool my 1K HPS with a 6" vortex. It does a fine job. Its expensive, but I can get my light 6-8 inches from the canopy.
You can definitley grow fro $1000, but you get what you pay for. Our setup cost over $3000, but now we're gettin 25 forearm sized nuggs every 8 weeks or so.

1k will get u a set up for sure, but your going to hjave to budget and write down all the stuff u need, like those ebb and flow tables will cost about 250-400 the light will be another 300 and then u need supplies, ferts, fans, cool tube is 100+. So on a small scale its def. dooable. Just dont go for the double room set up. Make your one room get a grow under ur belt, and then set up another room. However those ebb and flow table's are very nice, and produce alot more quicker then soil.

I think it also depends on what kind of weight you are expecting. I would hate to put 1000 in some nice stuff but not end up harvesting but a few plants.
With 1000.00 budget, youd better be harvesting at least a pound the first time out.
I have 320.00 into my grow so far and am very optimistic.

I'd seriously think about skipping the cool tubes, at least for now. You've got the cubic footage to handle 2k easy, and air-cooling your lights requires a whole secondary ventilation system, including a pricey seperate blower. You should be able to cool that room in open reflectors ( HydroFarm Pro Ultralight, Sunlight Vertizontal) with a single blower in the 500+ cfm range. Run ya $225 ish. A pair of smaller blowers would be more around $350. Spend the differance on a temp/humistat.
Pair of Ks w/horts- walk into local shop w/ cash and list. You should be able to get one full price, one at cost- about $700,750 depending on the line.
Classic 3000s should be about a buck each, a bale of ProMix around $20, gallon of PbP-$35
Black and white poly for walls,ciel,floor- $50 ish
Comes in just shy of $1100, but you'd be solidly set up.
