What's Your Dream Career?

Exactly what the title says.

I have a few dream careers. My top choice is being a game designer. I love playing video/computer games and I love thinking of new games or ways to make a game better. Sometimes I also think of interesting or weird films/animated films that I would love to see (make).

So, are there any interesting careers that you would like to have, even if you're already doing something else?

I've always aspired to be a physician. Which is why I'm in medical school. But to be honest, I'm exhausted at the moment. Right now, I'm having fantasies about being a farmer or a floral arranger. . . .

I really don't know, and thats a big problem at the moment. Right now I'm stuck in a dead end retail job, I want to go back to school, but only for 6 months tops....but I don't know what i want?? :(

Honestly, the idea of working, period, makes me sick. I just don't like the idea of being stuck somewhere I don't want to be for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Especially when there's SO much going on in the world. I would much rather be out, soaking it all in.

I've got about a year or so left until I get my Bachelorâ??s in Graphic Design, and I'm hoping I find a career that actually makes work FUN for me. Flash media and web-design are starting to turn my head, so there's an idea, PLUS it pays rather well.

But if I had it my way, it would be much like Peter Gibbons' world from Office Space. I would do nothing, all day. Not one thing. I guess I just like my freedom. As long as I make enough money to eat, that's fine. Any more cash than that might corrupt my purity =)

my best friend wants to be a counselor, and with her experiences, id think shed be great at it. so good luck to you as well.

i always wanted to be an athlete, buttttt dont have the skills for that. ive been playing guitar for 9 years now though, so being a musician is much more likely for me. and i have teh confidence i can succeed. currently working on plans to record some simple guitar parts with lyrics soon with a friend.

I want to write and direct films. i've finished 2 first drafts for 2 ideas i had a while ago. and i've got 2 concepts i've been working on. doesn't sound like much, but writing a story fit for the screen is tough. every detail must be accounted for. i don't want to be an ignorant film maker. every second has a purpose.

i just need to get my foot in the door. I could try and get a job as a runner or an assistant and then work my way up.

I want to do research with inner city kids and teach college level psychology or sociology. I want to get my PhD in one of those fields. I’m still working on my undergrad right now though so its going to be awhile. The past few weeks I've been interested in moral development but the last person who really did any research in that field quit doing it because of the stuff other people would say and the person before her killed himself so I dont know if I really want to get into that.I would also like to have my own kiln and potters wheel but I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have that.

Why ever not? If you get a PhD and go work at a university you won't even need your own, you can just take classes for fun and for free through their art department!!!

I'm not completely sure yet what speciality, but I'm leaning toward some branch of pediatrics. The more time I spend on these boards, the more I lean toward adolescent medicine. I think there's a need for good physicians to care for teens. I'd like to have board certification in both pediatrics/internal medicine and psychiatry/neurology for that speciality. I like teenagers and used to be a high school teacher. I also think I might be interested in obstetrics (delivering babies).

Maybe I can talk my husband into farming in my spare time. Or maybe simply talk him into letting me raise baby pigs. They're the cutest things. . . .

I've owned my own business for some years now and I'm happy to say it's really been my dream come true. I've got the business fully staffed so I don't have to work too much except to do payroll/bills etc. (Up 'til that point it was like having another child!) Financial independence has freed up my time to do what I really love...gardening. Peace!

Rockstar would be my dream career, behind that I would say charter captain on a mothership off the GBR(Great Barrier Reef). Shit I may like charter captain even better, but high quality grade A 'tang like Adriana Lima only comes with being a rockstar.
