My plan involves 3 exhaust fans. No.1 at bottom left sucking in cold air, no. 2 is also an exhaust sucking air out of the first cooltube into the second. No.3 is another exaust sucking the combined air out of the two lamps and out of the room. Does that work?
Much obliged for pointers, want to start this in 2 weeks time. :D
Random thoughts:
If you're planning a sealed CO2 setup, disregard my rambling.
1. The diagram shows a sealed air line from one end to the other, which prevents the flow from being used to circulate air in the cabinet (assuming this is a cabinet plan). If you leave the first tube's intake 'open' and take the hose off the main intake, the fans will give the plants a constant fresh breeze, moreso if you switch the main intake to the other wall.
2. It might be better to make separate exhaust lines leading from each hood and link them at the wall with a Y-adapter. That way one of the bulbs won't be washed in pre-heated air from the other. Fan #1 would either need to be larger than the other two or replaced by a large passive intake and reassigned to ventilation duty in the veg room.

2 exhaust fans should be GREAT!! (number 1 and #3)

unless you are using c02 it would be easier to do as ccie says not only are you cooling the lights you are also ventilating the room 2 fans one on each light exhuasting out the room with an open intake.

why is your intake so low to the ground? that will just increase the distance the air must travel and lower your flow.

Yeah, I think the ccie suggestion is the way to go. Thanks for feedback, guys! :D

yo faith, i only have one fan to cool two 1000w lights, and it works quite well (i can put my hand on the glass under the bulb and leave it there). i jst have one sucking the heat out of both my lights bringing fresh air through the lights by creating a vaccum. i took so much heat away im battling to keep my temps up

Very interesting! How does the vacuum come about? One of the reasons I actually wanted to serial-connect them was because I'd seen your room...:D
