no but thats complete bullshit. Weed is only mentally addicting so if you can't control your own emotions and shit than you probably shouldn't do it in the first place. Im not saying you or anyone else here, just speaking in general. :)

That is disappointing to hear him say that because he is quite cool otherwise. He is a very smart doctor as he specializes in two great areas, drugs and sex. He kicks Dr. Phil's ass (who is not even a M.D.) and stupid Dr. Ruth and just about all comers.
Maybe you didn't hear him right. I gotta hold out hope he didn't say that.

I went to Las Encinas Hospital not too long ago and he goes and talks to the patients about drug dependency and mental problems. He seemed so cool.........

Dr. Drew is a doctor who use to do these sex shows on MTV way back in the day... By sex shows I mean he would answer often embarrassing questions young men and women had about sex and their bodies. He has a show on some cable channel (cant remember which one right now) but I dont find him as interesting anymore now that I'm grown up and know 99% of everything his guests talk about... But, besides the ignorant weed comment, I think he is a cool guy as well.

For those who dont know Dr. Drew, he's Dr. Drew Pinsky. He's a board-certified addiction medicine specialist (a sub-speciality of psychiatry but also with internal medicine training, too) who practices in California and is a very popular expert about things young people contend with, including drugs and sex-related issues. He's the host of a popular, syndicated (in America) call-in radio show called "Loveline" where people call in and ask all sort of sex-related questions. For a few years, there was also a televised version of the same show on MTV, but that's been gone a while. He's frequently called in on various TV and news shows as an expert in sex- or drug-related questions, and he's also an author and frequent speaker on college campus. I've been a Dr. Drew groupie for years.

He's definitely a cool, smart guy, but he does take a strong anti-marijuana stance, and I suspect that's simply because that's been his training and he's had plenty of first-hand reasons to see problems with weed in his practice of addiction medicine (especially when people abuse multiple substances). My gut tells me he's probably fairly well informed on both the pros and cons of weed and that he might be more supportive of medical cannabis than he lets on. Even people who are anti-weed can be cool and smart, and Dr. Drew's one of those.

Does anybody remember the call about the guy who was having anal sex with his girlfriend, and said his "tool" slipped out and bent in half? He then snapped it back in place and said it turned dark purple or something. That has to be my favorite call.
that made me quiver HARD. I dont ever want to have to think about that again...
oh my god...
