alright i was looking at my plant and thought this might be a pre flower, what do you guys think? i have a few more questions too. does it look ready to be flowered? and there are alot of purple spots on my stems, what could this be from.
i have it under light 18/6, been feeding it pure blend pro and liquid karma
an ounce to a gallon of the pure blend and 2 ablesppons of the liquid karma
i water it when the top 2 inches are dry, i dont think i am over watering at all
i dont know what the purple is from, my thermometer reads 65 but its not right next to the light like the plant is so i think the plants in a 70 degree area
any suggestions or comments are welcome!

Its still to early to determine sex. How old are they? What lighting do you have? 65F is to cold for them. Shoot for 75-77

Nice looking plant.

Do you have alot more height to spare for the rest of the growth? How many plants are you growing?

I would consider topping it to remove the roof that's shading the interior of the plant, including the three lower branches. Then you can start flowering in a couple of weeks. That should get you multiple large colas.

oh i got much room and much height, i only got one plant i really just wanted to see if i can grow one before i invested in a bunch, the only thing is its under my moms consent and she doesnt want me to grow alot more i want to see if she will let me try another 4-6, where should i top it at?

I would remove that entire roof that's shading the 3 set of branches that are visible in the second pic. That will allow more branches to get clean light. Right now you're shading the entire plant and getting light only on top that's why you have all those large leaves up there. They are getting all the light. Spread the light around the plant. Good Luck.

should i try to replant it as soon as i cut it off? and where would be a good place to cut right above the third set of branches

"where would be a good place to cut right above the third set of branches"

Yes, I would cut right above the 3rd set and those will be your main colas. You can try to root the cutting. Do a little research on "cloning cannabis". I read that most people have better results with gel over powder for a rooting hormone. Keep them warm and moist and have a little patience. Hopefully it will be a girl and you will be set for your next grow. That's cool that your mom lets you grow.

By the way, if your plant turns out male, you're screwed and have to start over. You should have started with more than one to ensure one female. Good Luck with that.

Hey CHRONIC..

That plant has stretched to dangerous levels.. CFLs can not support big plants... you ideally want to switch to 12/12 when the plant is 8-10 iches tall when using CFL's ... But you also need at least 4 nodes..

PASS THAT SHIT is giving you good advice..

If it were my plant I would cut everything above the 4th node (primary nodes off of the main stalk, not including secondary nodes) and use it as clone material..

Then I would get the lights as close as possible.. NONE of those CFLs should be farther than 1 inch from your PLANT......

Then let your plant grow for 5 days (after you cut it to only 4 nodes) under 20 hours of light 4 hours dark..

After 5 days switch to 12/12

You also need to STAKE the plant... and make sure it is in a 3 gallon container..

and LIKE mr. shit said.. if it is a male.. which it very well could be.. (lanky bastard) you're fucked..

BTW - very GOOD pictures.. maybe even GREAT!!

can i put a clone into soil?

yes.. but ideally you would put it in rockwool...

if you do put it in soil, try to make it a 50% soil /50% perlite mix... have great drainage holes in the container and make sure you keep the medium moist..

ALSO... a lot of moisture will escape from the leaves.. so put a plastic container/dome over your clone.. especially if you are gonna go soil..

cheers

alright so i topped the plant when i did that the blade slipped and cut the secondary node and now the top only has one set of leaves growing, i didnt put the cutting into soil i went ahead and bought these cube deals from my local hydro shop they arnt jiffy or rockwool there a different kind he said there amazing so i got a few of them, the clone looks droopy but is nery green and not dried out so i hope it pulls through in the next 5 days, i have had bad luck after i took the cutting cause one of my lamps tiped and burnt some secondary growth and i felt sick after i saw that happened but the good news it i was searching through my room and found a seed to get me going on another plant, i want to get a pack of seeds but not sure what i should get any suggestions?

alright so this thread is really old but i thought it would be appropriate to use this one then making a new one, i was really nervouse that my plant was gonna be a male but SHE has finally got white hairs on her. it feels great to be able to call my plant a lady. i think i got super lucky sence its my only plant, i got another growing right now and its 19 days old, cant wait for it to grow up. the only thing that sucks is i dont got the best light on it right now i have to wait till i can get my hps, i only got two 40 watt daylight bulbs on her :(
