Dell Inspiron 1505 laptop, customized. It's a fairly new computer with many upgraded qualities.

My dell was a peice of shit and I hated it. So I went with Apple next and got my mac book thinking "it just works." 3 months later I have a drained battery so it is now basically a desktop. I need to call them...

Anyway it isn't just dell. All computers suck.

Currently have a 5 year old Sony Vaio. However, I just purchased my new processor to build around. I got the Intel Duo Core 2.6 for $500. Now I have to decide what to run with it. :D

I have several:

1 Custom computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs of memory, 500 gigs in RAID 1 (mirroring). This is my pc, and is currently running Vista.

1 Lenovo Thinkpad Z61 (for work) with a 15.4" widescreen, 100 gig sata hdd, 1.5 gigs of memory, a DVD burner, and an Intel Core 2 Duo chip. Its pretty fast.

1 Custom computer with a Pentium 4 3.0 chip, 4 gigs of memory, and windows server 2003. This is my domain controller, dns server, and web server.

1 Custom computer with Pentium 4 2.8 chip, 1 gig of memory, and a 200 gig hard drive. This acts as my test box. Right now it is running Fedora Core.

1 Custom Computer with a Pentium 4 2.8 chip, 2 gigs of memory, and a RAID array with 1.5 tb of storage. This is my file server. Everything important gets backed up nightly, and everything weekly. This is then backed up to tape.

I have several others lying around, but I think this is all I have live right now.

I have a brand new HP with a flat screen 17 inch moniter and all the personalized goodies. I love it, i'd be completely lost without it. Plus I do school on it and don't have to travel back and forth to a real school. Lucky me!

Yeah dude, it was built with XP in mind, but you didn't get the updates when you bought it. Loads of people make that mistake. Guess you got it about 2/3 years ago?

Specs:

2.2GHz
160GB
768MB
520watt
6600GT
Soundblaster 24 bit Live!

Not necessarily custom built, I just added a few things, mainly some RAM, better PSU, new GPU, and sound card. On-board shit sucks, had to get a sound card cause for some reason the sound didn't work after I switched cases.
