the two with the duct tape are california orange and the other is nlx. all were planted on nov. 26. they've been on 24/0 with 90w of daylight cfl and 42w of soft white cfl. watering daily to every 1.5 days...but i'm not sure if its enough. also have a small fan, but the temps seem kinda high...mid-upper 80's. do they look good for being 8 days old? they seem kinda small. tell me what u think. its my first time...dont wanna fuck up

you want more cool white light and less warm. you really dont need the warm IMO, some people would disagree. but for veg/seedling stage lights around 6500K are best.

try to get the temps below 80 F as lower temps will promote females (As well the plant just grows better).

it is more important imo not to risk letting them dry out, than risk over watering.

i water seedlings twice a day (but a very small amount, only were their roots are) they can dry up and die super easily. more so with high temps

and keep them on 24/0

Too much water. Let the top inch get dry before you water.

Yes. You'll drown the roots. How big are the pots?

See, for me this is the problem with starting out in big pots. If you water all that soil, it'll take forever for the soil to get dry with only that little toddler in there, which is not a good environment for a plant.
On the other hand you can't let the outer soil crust dry out completely for two weeks until the plant starts getting anywhere near that area.
So what I'd do in your clothes is water around the root enough for the top inch to dry out in 2-3 days, and then just sprinkle the outer area just enough for that to not dry out into cracked desert mud and keep it fresh.

Just increase ventilation dude to keep the temps down if you can that is.

Best of luck.
