First Grow - LOG - 1000HPS, 11 Seeds

I had 10 xxxtra skunk feminized seeds and 2 bag seeds germing for 2 days. Most germinated, so I decided to plant all the seeds, 1/4 inch in party cups. I am using PRO-MIX organic soil-less mix.

I have the HPS on them right now, just testing the light. I am going to switch and put my 2 flour fixtures with 48watt 18" flouresant tubes.

This is day one, Ill get pics when I get some sprouts. This is a indoor, in a room grow.

Wish me luck. By the way, I have tiger and big bloom by fox. I plan to start my nute's sometime around the 2nd week of veg.

You need to get fox farm Grow Big. Tiger bloom is used during flowering. Big bloom is used during both veg & flowering. Grow big is used for veg only.

Thanks for th tip on the nutes, Ill try and get some cash together for the grow big.

Question though, They have been sitting under 2 24" flouresant lights for the past 2 days, one has sprouted, and the others you can kinda see coming along.

Ive been putting the HPS on them 3 1/2 feet above for a few hours during the day, just trying to get them a good light source. Just wondering, is this good or bad for them? I would of loved to get a MH and switchable ballast, but didnt, so Im stuck with the floure's and the hps. When should I start putting the hps on 24 or 18/6?

I'd wait about 2 weeks then you should be straight to put the HPS on 24/0. Until then just keep your fluoros like 1" above the top of your plants to keep them nice and short. They will stretch if the light is farther than that. Then when you start with the HPS, start it a little high up and work it down every day. Just listen to what your plants are telling you, they'll let you know if its too much heat.

So far, 2 have sprouted, and a third seems to be on the way. Ill update tomorrow.

I changed the lights around earlier, and now I have 3 that have sprouted and another that looks like its on it's way.

I also LOST another plant today (that makes 2). The thing I have them all on is a table, and they are sitting on a shoe door matt thing so, the water doesnt go on the table. It isnt that sturdy and 2 have fallen so far. I am going to find something else for the plants tomorrow. Both lights are about an inch above plants, and there all lined up.

Hoping tomorrow, more have sprouted! :). I really wanna get the HPS on, hoping to have a good grow.

Well, I just had to check them before bed! (I find myself in my grow room 20 times a day just staring, love watching them grow up).

Anyways, I have 5 sprouted. Hoping by the morning, maybe another. There all coming along, the first lil girl that sprouted is now about 2-3 inches! Pretty good considering it just came up 2 days ago
