hey, I am not totally happy with these pics. I have a nice camera but I can't seem to take close up shots well even though my camera has a close shot setting...

anyway, thats the top of the first plant we ever grew, it seems pretty small, hopefully its dank, now the waiting game begins. god give me patience!

To get better quality pictures try using macro mode if your camera has it.

use macro, take it from 1+ foot away and use zoom, try it with flash on and flash off, see what happens, works real good for me

(macro is the button with the flower on it) hahahhaa

Thanks, when i use the macro, i often get an error AE or AF, i assume it means that it can't auto focus and set the correct exposure automatically. I think i really need a tripod.

oh and it was grown indoor, 600watt hps w/coco "soil"

the pic doesn't look bad btw

also you need a very high-res camera ( expensive ) with a macro setting.

Nice looking weed, and the pics arent bad either. Especially compared to some of the totally blurry shots of buds still in the bag that often get posted. A few things you might try:

-make sure your not too close. A camera will have a minimum focusing distance and if you're closer than that it'll be blurry.

-Typically with macro you'll have a very small range in which to focus. If you're getting error messages you could be too close, or too far. try moving in and/or out and see if you still get that error message.

-keep as much surface area of the bud as parallel to the lens as possible. Especially with macro shots, the amount of the bud that will be in focus(depth of field) is very small. The more you have parallel to the lens the more will be in focus. Take your first shot, for example. Looking down on the bud that way is a cool point of view, but you'll notice that the part of the bud closest to the camera is blurry, and the part farther away(where the camera focused, is sharper.
