Self Discovery or?

I'm curious how many people here discovered the herb on their own? Even if it was with your dads weed or something.

My friend took weed from his dad our first time and we wanted to try it on our own without outside influence.

I had been around it all my life since my parents use to smoke but quit sometime when i was younger. We were at the beach and one of my friends was there so i asked him if he knew where i could get any pot. Ended up going over to his house and getting fucking stoned as hell. I smoked cigarettes so I knew how to inhale and all that crap, but damn good times back in the day.

my dad killed himself when i was little and i smoked his stash after cleaning up the mess.
he smoked plenty around me so im not sure if that counts as influence or not but i packed the bowl and lit it up by my own choice.

I initially discovered weed when I smelled that same smell I smelled when my friend showed me his weed and burned joint. I have a good nose, so I followed it until I finally got it. It was my moms. I laughed and took like a little bud or two. Later I rolled it up in a yellow sticky note pad lol! I remember that first hit. I had a cold and it opened up my nose so damn much. Ah I miss loving the smell so much after smelling my first little bit of weed burning. Didn't really have a reason back then to do it but later on like when I really officially had my own weed it was more because of personal life issues and stress. I dunno, I still picked I discovered it my self lol.

Some of the lads on my floor had some hash (it reeked) so I had a quiet word - brought some tunes, munch, drinks and a bit of cash.

I made out I had smoked loads (twat) so I ended up doing hot knives, bongs/buckets and smoking spliffs. I did smoke fags back then so smoking wasn't a problem.

My thc receptors were well switched on :) I forgot my room number, name and all sorts of other shit I remember thinking at the time "WTF have I been missing" I did feel like a bit of a Nimrod though as I was so wasted. I have never looked back and I'm so glad I took the plunge and tried it - it was in a setting I was comfortable with and with some new friends.

I like to think I did it myself - but without those friends it wouldn't be the same.

I'm past 30 now and I still smoke with some of those guys, everyone is a noob once :)

I've always been fascinated with drugs since i was in 7th grade. So, my interest and eagerness to try weed was self discovery, but the weed itself I was eventually introduced to.

That was exactly what I did.

I didn't start until I was done with college. Mostly I was never offered it, except in passing at a party or something, and none of my family or friends smoked it growing up. Plus I was always wary of buying from someone I didn't know and trust.

I just decided that I wanted to try it so I got some and tried it by myself while my husband was asleep. I wrote many many journal pages of stoned thoughts and I loved it. I smoke mostly by myself, cause at my age, there's not a lot of people to smoke with whose company I would really enjoy. Most of my really good friends don't smoke.

I was 17 my life was spiraling down. I was sick of drinking and popping. I wanted to try something new so I went out on a mission to find some weed. I ended up just falling asleep an hour after smoking.

My parents had always smoked it in front of me since i can remeber. They always told me not to do it but were never really serious. Now they don't mind when I take some from their stash and I smoke at home right in front. They really never cared as long as I was healthy, into good things and as long as my grades were up. So I maintaned an A average and they've never bothered me since. There very cool parents.
