Ok,
so for old times sake I thought I would pass along what I did in a garage once. here's the scoop.
4 K light, all hydro, 100+ plants at finally
around 1300 CFM of total vent
Garage - Ok, picture this, you walk in the garage and see that the back wall is closer to the front thant it should be. you open a locked door on the back wall and look inside to see a dark room filled with a HUGE lego shaped box inside. this is the acutal grow room, - there is a 18 inch gap around the GR to facilitate mainting it.
you then unlock another door that opens into the veg room. You look around and see that the entire walls and celing has been covered with strips of 8 inch insulation covered with BW poly to give it a clean look. There is 1K of ligh in here that shines on 30ish plants in 2 gallon buckets.
Then, you look right and see a poly sheet with a zipper in it, you unzip that and see another layer that needs to be unzipped "to lightproof flower room" You unzip that and see a flower room that measures approx 10X16 feet. there are 3K of light in here. There are also two big double doors that lead through the fake back wall into the garage to load in large equimpent.
Venting -
Room intake - a 500CFm fan pulling from the front of the garage through a intake steathly hidden inside a metal cabniet that looks like it's just against the wall
Veg to Flower - A 500CFm fan pushing air from veg into flower
Exausht - A 800CFM fan that pulls FLR room air outside into the gap between the fake wall and lego shapped GR.
Garage Exahust - a 20" auction vent that vents outside.
The Hydro System.
This was a experiment that proved to work well. It works like a aero bucket, but in series.
ok, So, I have a large trashcan outside the room that holds all water, that water goes through a hose into the veg room feeding the first plant bucket, that bucket is then connected to every other bucket in the room in a series. Each bucket has it's own airstone. then, the last bucket has a tube that then pumps water back into the main trashcan res. This is a very simple system that keeps all buckets at the same nute level, but keeps then in seperate containers. This was also done in the flower room.
Air - this was a fun project for me. 1. I bought a 80$ airpump at a grow store, then I went to the grow depot and purchased lawn springler distribution caps and ran a long tube with 10 of these caps on it. this allowed me to controll up to 80 individual airstones, each with it's own shut off valve, a VERY cheap soulution.
So, where are the pics? there below. I don't have all pics up, but I think you'll get the idea.
