I used to dilute but now I sub. I hope this poll means drinking lots of water the day of the test and not days before the test like it cleaned you out because it doesn't.

Dude, please be careful about your electrolite balance! Drinking too much plain old water can KILL you! No, I'm not joking! Every year or so, some poor kid dies in a hazing incident where he had to drink a massive amount of water or was trying to clean their system for whatever reason. What happens is you dilute the amount of minerals in your blood too much and it causes a heart attack. Make sure you get things to drink that have minerals in them (chicken broth, gatorade, milk) and are not just flavored water (soda, fake juice drinks). Take care. -- Granny Storm Crow :stoned:

I didn't answer the poll because it half worked for me..... in 1 situation i smoked a couple hours b4 the test after being clean(had no idea the test was coming, just bad timing) and the other time was a day after smoking heavily for about 4 days. Both tests came back dilute, meaning not positive but also that the sample had unusually high creatnine levels and was probably tampered with. The first time this happend i pulled it off as an innocnet mistake because i had just drank a lot of water that day, the 2nd time they didnt buy it.... But i'd say the water method will work most of the time, at least to casue a dilute result which if u still have credability will buy you some time.

O and if its a random test, i wouldnt just drink mad water every day and cause unnecesary discomfort... when your asked to take a test you should just claim you dont have to go then start to chug

If your urine came back dilute either the specific gravity was too low or the creatinine clearance was too low. The creatinine clearance on your sample did not come back too high if you were dilute, it was the opposite.

Boobs is dead on. High creatinine levels are a non-issue because there are no upper limits established for creatinine. Labs look for low readings when determining a diluted sample.
Creatinine levels over 20 ng are acceptable. Creatinine levels between 2 - 20 ng is ruled a diluted sample.

My friend drank 2 gallons of water before her test, she passed. (last smoke was about 5 days prior for her)

Was it an instant dipstick test or a lab test? If it is a lab test and someone drinks THAT much water, they are going to be in danger of getting a negative dilute test and depending on who requests the test, you may or may not get to retest. The goal of dilution is to dilute enough but not to produce straight water instead of urine. There is a formula that should be followed to ensure a negative result without failing validity testing to see if you diluted.
Personally, I like to post first hand info and not info from "gossip", it tends to be more accurate.

I was in the Army and had 12 hours warning from my friend that there was going to be a piss test. I drank sooooo much water that there was absolutely no color in my piss. I passed the test.
