The Canadian forum seems like the right place for a hockey thread, though everyone's welcome. If you are into the NHL post up your favourite team. Let's hear from across the country.

Habs squeak one out in a shootout over their arch rival the Leafs. What's the season series now, Bob? Two shootout wins for the Habs, one regulation win and one shootout win for Leafs? I think so. How would you write that up? 2-1-1 Habs and 2-0-2 Leafs?

I don't have the patience to follow a whole hockey game. I've been to games, I watch games on the TVs in bars and friend's houses and stuff, but I just don't follow it...

I can understand that. I don't sit through a whole lot of regular season games either. The exceptions are when Montreal plays Toronto. The playoffs, though, are always exciting. To me anyway.

Sydney Crosby was great tonite against Philly. I stopped watching it when he had 6 points but he may have got more (Mario's team record is 8; league record is 10 by Darryl Sittler). Does anyone think he is not the best player in the league right now?

On a sad note, that women who fell off that tall ship turned out to be Laura Gainey, daughter of Bob Gainey, GM of the Habs. What a terrible tragedy and I will be saying a prayer for the Gainey family.

Bertuzzi was in the local news of my city last year when he wanted to put up a fence around his house that was higher than the bylaws allowed. Money talks, I guess, cause he got his high fence. He probably did have a lot of people bugging him while he was on suspension, though, so maybe he needed it.

The incident did hurt his career, no question. He is not the same player he was before. But I don't hate him. He just made a very bad mistake and he is paying for it.

I mean, look at Dany Heatley. He killed Dan Snyder and I thought his punishment was not as harsh as Bertuzzi's. Granted his accident was off ice but it no less of an idiotic thing to do.

my team is the red wings although when i was in a mall in quebec i got to meet guy lafluer and got a picture taken with him and a signed picture he was a cool guy

I guess I'll say the Leafs, because I live in Toronto, and don't really follow other NHL teams. Their team pisses me off though, they try and get only slightly better each year, so the stadium gets sold out every night, but the leafs go nowhere. JFJ needs to be fired, and the team rebuilt around a #1 draft pick and Paul Maurice.

I happen to be a baseball fan, played for 10 years, love the Jays. I also follow the Raptors pretty closely.

Since I live in Toronto, its the Leafs or no one. However I refuse to watch the Leafs because as we all know, they are total garbage. Raptors all the way!!
