How to make a gravity bong?

How do you make one? I know what they look like... but do you guys have instructions for making a good one? I have one but its a pain in the butt to use.

I want to make a larger and more efficient one... the one I have takes a long time to set up so a lot of times we are too high to hit it, even though we want too..

well its easy....just get a 2-liter bottle and cut the bottom outtve it. then go to your tool box and find a socket that has a hole going all the way through it (just find one that you think would be good to use as a bowl). then cut a hole in the cap thats just smaller that the socket.....then squeeze the socket in the hole.(if it wont fit then incrimentaly make the hole bigger by vertically placeing the knife in the whole and twisting) the socket should eventually pop in! then use some duct tape to make it airtight. (just wrap it around the socket) then all you gotta do is get a container to hold the water. place the gb in (without the cap) fill the water till just under the thread on the bottle. then stuff your bowl with weed screw it on and pull and light works great.

buzzard had a good explanation. you can put aluminum foil under the socket and poke holes in it for a screen

hmmm... i've never done it that way. i always just cut out a hole in the middle of the bottom about half the size of a dime and then put my finger on the hole to plug it and fill it up with water. then put my chillum in the mouth of the bottle which is a snug fit. granted it takes another person to light it while you hold the bottle and take your finger off the hole, but the suction is great and i've nerver had a problem with it.
