Ha, well ever since i arrested for possesion my mom keeps talking to me about how i need to stop smoking, she kind of knew i did before but could never bust me on me. But we were having a talk about 2 days ago and then i finally said "i know dad smokes weed too". She replied with the weakest answer that could have been given "it doesnt matter if he does" lol. C'mon now how can my dad look me in my face and tell me im throwing my life away over fucking weed when he tokes up himself? To me this only means that i can smoke my ass off and then can kiss my ass if my dad is going to be smoking and i cant. Time to get another pipe and get that ROOR...

I think your in the best possible situation. If i knew my dad smoked herb i wouldnt care who knew i did it. I wouldnt care if they told me not to. Have you tryed smoking with your Dad yet?

That really is tough for your folks to push the "No drugs" thing on you if your Pop's not only smoked weed, but is still currently smoking.

I'd say your situation is probably a lot better than most kids who's parents find out though.

I think it is a legit argument to make. If his folks say smoking is terrible and it will ruin your life, but oh yeah your father smokes, your argument goes right out the window.

if your grades start to slip or you start to fuck up then they are right. however if you can keep your grades up and stay out of trouble then your arguement is still valid and stands a chance at being considered..... but then again, iof you cant keep your grades up and your not trying and get in trouble alot, then saying, "but dad does it" doesnt hold much weight...

Yea i agree. Next semester i plan to pull all my grades up and make all A's to show them i can smoke and still be responsible about it. Getting arrested kind of threw it out of the window but thats a mistake ill never make again.

the real question you should be considering is how many times your dad has been busted for possesion before you call him a hypocrit. The plan fact is that you really havnt told us much about the sistuation, for all we know you could be spending all your money on pot whereas your dad may smoke once or twice a week. If your getting your ass in trouble and spending all your money (and possible others, like i said i dont know) on weed then it dosnt matter if your father smokes or not. Its kinda like being 16 and smoking a pack of ciggies a day just because your parents smoke. Just because they are doing it dosnt mean your not stupid for doing it.

Also when it comes down to it there is a BIG difference between a teenager who dosnt really have experience taking care of themselves and an adult who has their own family.

also to be honest, by saying "To me this only means that i can smoke my ass off and the[y] can kiss my ass if my dad is going to be smoking and i cant" pretty well makes your parents right because if that is how you think then odds are you will end up throwing your life away.

Maybe your dad just said what he said because of your mom. I don't see a big deal in your parents not approving of you smoking weed. They are just doing their job and you'll probably continue to smoke no matter what they say anyway. I'm sure things will change once you're an adult...your dad may ask YOU if you can get any for him.
