Does anyone know any good techniques for fixing scratches on CDs with everyday, household shit? I really want to play this game, but its too scratched up and I don't feel like going out to buy some shit that isn't gonna work. Any suggestions?

They say window cleaner "windex" and a soft paper towel... rub lightly back and forth in one direction,,,don't cross...

IDK if this works,I just read it somewhere...

i know toothpaste fixes scratches on glass and plastic but that'd probably fuck up the cd

I heard that toothpaste works

Anyhow, take a knife, and scratch the cd so the whole scratched layer is off.

toothpaste, manoasye(mayo), and clean white hand soap bars... is what i heard the other night for scarthed CDs... if its like a playstation 1 game(how the disks are black on the bottum) i doubt it will work..

but if you take the bar of soap and rub it so it fills up the scrathches, and then wipe all of the extra stuff of, it should work... but befor you do this, hold it up to some light sorce, and if light shines threw, then the disk it fucked over, and you may as well throw it at a wall in a fit of anger, or better yet, throw it at a GF,BF,wife, or husband, and say "BITCH YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE AND BUY ME A NEW GAME WELL YOU OUT PICK ME UP A OZ OF K.B. AND A NEW ROOR, AND DONT COME BACK THREW THAT DOOR UNTIL YOUVE GOT IT"

No Way! Maybe i should just try some distilled water. Whatever, I went out and bought some toothpaste with baking soda to see if it'll work. If not, I'll try hand soap. Where you guys serious about the toilet thing? minus the shit and piss part...

flushing didn't work? if you tried everything else why not just get distilled water and try it in your disc doctor? what harm can really come to it... i mean if it ain't working anyways..
