They can be finicky eaters, so feed lightly.

Well, you are at the very start I do say. Well, First read some free grow guids on line to get you better aquainted with the basics. As far as the soil, I use a soil called Black Gold organic potting soil. This soil can give you about 3 weeks without having to use any nutes if you were in that type of situation. For nutes, something fairly easy and safe IMO it the Fox Farm products, they have a nute for veg called Grow Big and two that are used in flower allot called Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.
If you can round up those things you should be good along with a bag of perlite to mix in with your soil.

soil= 60% soil(moisture control soil for over/ and/ under watering)
And
40% perlite

so far so good, the bear is full of great advice, and hopefully he'll continue to contribute. as far as b1... go to lowes/hd and look for "root builder" by greenlight. this has some nice phosphates and b vitamins for root stimulation.

make sure you don't feed for a few weeks; you'll burn her up...

the stress you've seen is normal. as bear said, you need to become aquainted. here's a site that will get you well on your way...

read all these pages and you'll be the next ganja guru;)

KP's, together with this one, are the two best I've read. The two most used as well, I would think:
