Carb Load works better then Sweet does if that matters to you. Yes you can add Molasses the last 14-10 day's just make sure you do not give them any N the last 14 day's. This will force the plant to use up stored chlorophyll.

I use a combination of Sweet plus molasses. This is because I believe the Sweet has CATALYSTS for carb synthesis, and you only need so m,uch of those to get benefits... and then the molasses adds extra sugar for less $.
Never tried carb load though. Plan to when I run out of sweet.

I also herd co2 during the last stages of flowering can greatly reduce your taste and smell.Any1 else ever herd this?I've stopped my nutes and i am only giving them sweet ph level of 5.8 every day i've also reduced my watering to two ebb and flow floods a day my temp at night gets to be about 60 and during the day i keep it at72 i got great temps and low humidity.i just changed out my 150 watt hps and 400 watt hps with two hoods to a one hood with two 400 watt hps bulbs i think the lumen increase will show results tomarrow i'm only in a 18 in by 24in tray with mylar so i didnt need the extra light but want to see the results.any advice???

I wouldn't mess with the light cycle at all for a couple reasons; light stress can induce herms, and I've got a perpetual crop, so I can't just do it to the finishing ones, and if there WERE herms, they'd pollute the rest of the girls.
Letting them get dry and droughty is better and easier IMHO.
Molasses mix- I just dump a glop in my 2.5 gallon watering can and call it good. A 'glop' is like a tablespoon or so :D

actually I just got a sample of Carbo Load. My plants have 1-2 weeks left in flower, and I just flushed today. Would the carbo load do much at this point?

Hello Truth Seeker,
(like that handle)-------I'm an ole hydro head and have NO experience with soil grows------but I think the end desired result is the same. In this case, "taste" without sacrificing yield.
My "rule of thumb" is 25% yellowing leaves when chopped to rid excess N-----nice, smooth, smoke$$$$$$$$$$$

Never tried carb load though. Plan to when I run out of sweet. You are right...Sweet is commonly misconstrued as carbs...It is Not carbs...It is a carb synthesiser...So carbload and Sweet are different products...Good tip on the molasses...Z, S.A...later

Thanks crispi for telling me to cheak that thread out it was very good info. Thanks latewood. One more question I stoped giveing my plants sweet and molasses a week ago could I have continued a smaller dose?It probly would be nasty and burn wierd maybe make some heavy bud that don't smoke lol maybe not i dont think i'd want that at all.well i'm flushing 5.8 ph just water and all my leaves are drained of coler no N my buds are getting bigger and stickier and smell like sweet sweet juicy fruit and they will be ready for chrismas and a happy new year.this is my last grow so i did it right. Now i want the bud so bad i'm thinking i see amber trichromes but maybe not.My hair's on some buds are 50% orange 50% white the top colas are pretty much white maybe 25% red.i only have a 5x magglass so i'll haft to get a 10 or 30x one to see them better.

you don't want to feed anything the last 2 weeks...except for adding florakleen, or final phase...common flush agents.
You can flush with water as well.
You don't need "Sweet"; You don't need to synthesize carbs at this point!
Do you guys that use Molasses really find that you get better tasting reefer?

thanks well i stoped nutes about 8 days ago i wanted to flush a couple more days but i saw amber trichomes and had to start chopping the beauties down i apapoligize for not posting pics they turned out great i cut at 10--15%amber and the rest cloudy the bud is very nice thanx guys.I'm still very interested in perfecting this stage.does any1 cut there water back?and if so how much?

Well I shouldn't even be hanging around here 'cause I'm a dirty girl, lol... you squeeky clean hydroheads are too geeky for me! :D
But yeah, I feel that there is a real enhancement of flavor and scent using molasses.
Now, one thing I have been doing a bit of reading on is the cholorphyll's property of sort of masking the true flavors of the resins. I am thinking that I might start reverse foliar feeding the last 2 weeks of flower to try to create an artificial N deficiency and causing the clorophyll to break down and let the resin scents come through better. Just a thought. Hm. Let me know if you think the idea has any merit.
Oh, and I know you will be warning me about mold... my humidity right now is hovering around 27%. Never seen a hint of mold in my garden, ever.

I love this strain.I swear it smells better in hydro then it did in soil.Well i'm making some hash and just bought a quarter from my buddy same guy i got the bud off of that i pulled the seeds from.Wow that was about 6 months ago I remember that bud like it was yesterday. This hydro gro of this strain produced bud that reminds me of the bud i got it out of.Thats a good thing. Also i got so much more off this gro.I'm pretty sure the sweet and mollasses contributed alot to the taste.I'm very happy :stoned: thanks for all the help ZANDOR,CRISPI AND LATEWOOD i'll enjoy the smoke.
Here is some pics of the mom plant grown in soil and she is budding here compare these sexy bit##s lol those are the clones right after they rooted that tall one is my fav enjoy
