View Full Version : Need advise on color of stem. Pease

My 7 day old plants appear to show red-brownish colou on the stem. 1inch of stem from the ground is reddish traslcent and the top one is light green. What could be wrong with my plants.

mobile nute. defficiency... look it up and im sure you can fix it ;) - its nothing severe...

the stem iz 3 inch tall but the leafes are 1/4 of inch :( growth rate had slowed

Wants nitrogen. She's just raring to rocket away, but she's not getting any food. Soon the leaves will grow yellow as she eats the stored food there, unless you feed her. Begin feeding carefully, one good rule is to do each third watering without nutes, then two with nutes, then no nutes etc, to keep the soil free from salts.

From the shops got two bags of soils which thought will be most suitable from available. 150-100-250 5x5x5 inches, place where the seed is, and this cube surrounded with 150-60-160 NPK. after 4 days of groeing sprayed with nute dissolved with npk 150-80-80 to ensure a lot of N to have girl instad of man and did it once from that time written above thing had hppen. will keep try to use your formula of feeding now.

Investigateing th plant discovered that the stem near the soil for 1 inch is flat - looks like flat spaghetti !

Is it all mushy and soft?

The stem sems to be OK, red on the net that this could also appear when over lightining, inorder to prevent all chlorofill being used up the plant stem turns reddish to prevent this. :) placed my light back on 10 inches from the plant and the growth seems to be returned to the previous high rate
