its been a long time guys. i've missed ya. i've had a lot of shit on my plate lately, getting selected for this leadership role at my school. ( a pothead, imagine that :D). but ya, my parents found out i smoked. i have NO idea how they did. i am probably the most careful kid. and i know those of you older than 18 are scoffing at me, but you have no idea how careful i was.

my dad made me give him a presentation on the bad things about pot. all of it was full of shit. i couldnt believe i had to regurgitate this shit out. the pamphlet he gave me was the biggest POS.

i'm simply making this post to say, you may think you wont get caught, but i gurantee you. you WILL get caught. i dont want to put anyone down. but i want you guys to be ready.

i didnt think i would get caught, but i did. the smell from my drawer attracted my dad, and he found my pipes and 1g of herb i had left. he threw the weed out but let me keep everything else. he didnt tell my mom, since she would call the cops on me. but yeah, toke on.. getting caught is a part of being a stoner while living with your parents, we all go through it. i didnt think it would happen to me, but it did. oh well

Yeah, I'm pretty much convinced of this too. No one ever thinks they'll get caught, but all it takes is 1 wrong move. Remember, you ALWAYS run the risk of getting caught.

Once my mom said she was gonna get some gas and go to my sisters. Somehow she was back within 40min, apparently she just went and got gas...long time to get gas. I almost/kinda got caught that time, my mom was suspicious but I denied it. Of course, this was after I already got caught, and my parents know I smoke. My dad pretty much accepts it now though...I uhh, smoked in front of him (he let me!) so yeah.

But anyway, unless you barely smoke, and are VERY careful, you will get caught.

I remeber the first time my dad caught me smoking. I was on the front step puffing and coughing away. He opened the front door, and said, "what are doing, toking up out here?" I was like, "uhh..uhh" and all he said was "keep it down, I can here you coughing from the backyard." The next morning these were his exact words, "I can't give you shit for something I used to do, but if I ever catch you smoking crack, I'll kick your ass", and I've never smoked crack for that reason. :p

I dont beleive in lying to parents. I told my parents where i was going the first time i ever bought weed, and i told them i was going to smoke it. They didnt like the idea, but once i had it, they were fine with it, and still are to this day, i even got my dad smoking a little bit of hash with me, and my mum loves the smell, so when im around at their house i always take a little bit of each.

Just tell your parents that you smoke, then you wont get caught [at least by them]

And if you arrested, it'll be a massive shock for them, you should be able to tell your parents anything, so do it. You may be surprised.

I applaud you guy. A stoner that uses bud to add to his life while still being productive in school and such. On the other hand you spread propaganda that you knew to be false to nieve listeners. You should have gone to the history channel web site and found the history of marijuana and how it became a schedule I drug (because its a reputable source) as well as searched for information on effects not from sources that have bias against marijuana and recieve funding because of their propaganda as well as sites like this that are bias toward legalization of marijuana and just gone stright for studies so that the information would be as close to accurate as possible. You should be proud your a stoner. You smoke and are still an aclimated member of normal society and its standards of achievement. If more stoners like you proudly display their green colors marijuana will be seen as recreational and not detremental to ones life.

My mom is fine with me smoking, because when she was my age, she did as well. My dad would have killed me or sent me to military school, but sadly he passed away two years ago. My mom's fiance is cool with it as well, because he used to grow it.

yes eventually most people will get caught, im talking about people who do it frequently because your most likely if not always have it on you when you're out, plus you get used to carrying it on and you forget how much trouble you can get in.

ive been caught twice once by my parents but they knew i smoked so they took my bowl cause they dont want it in the house, but getting caught by the cops fucking sucks they make you feel like a piece of shit

I've never been caught and I do all I can to keep it that way. If my Mom catches me, and I'm sure she will one day, I'll be forced to pack an extra big mother-son bowl for us to share :rasta:

I was freekin on the insides, but I was like the weeds my friends and he wanted me to roll him joints. haha I dont think she bought that but she put the joint on the table and said we ll be back sunday and left me sitting there, with weed , stunned. They never did say anything when they came home.

yea well ithink most people get caught because when they first start smoking, they take the time to make sure evrythings well hidden and the smells covered up and the parents are asleep and you sneak out all quiet to smoke on the side of the house and stuff. then it starts getting routine, you start being loud and saying stuff liek fuck it im too stoned to hide my shit good ill just throw it under the bed and you know stuff like that, thats why people get caught. i cant wait till my kids are teenagers lol, since i smoke if i ever smell it on them and im like 100%^ sure of the smell im gunna search around the room for bongs and stuff and if i find anything im gunna walk in one day with there shit in my hand and be like, "i like your peice" pack a bowl and yea, cuz its such a better high for teens when they know there parents dont care ya know.

I've been caught before but my dad just said "don't do that" and brushed it off. I still smoke in my house but I'm discrete about it. I think he knows but doesn't care because I passed my drug test for work and have never been caught with it by a cop or anything.

so far i havent been caught with weed (had a close call you can read about in my thread though) but my mum caught me with ciggs once, i was over 18 but never had the guts to tell her i was a smoker because she is really against smoking..... so yeah she freaked, with weed i keep it hidden pretty well, its smell proof and i keep my room messy on purpose so that only ill be able to find anything.... im gonna move out soon hopefully, so just a little bit longer without getting caught and im in the clear...

I think if you can pay for it without stealing or lying, and you can keep up your grades, then most well-informed parents will tolerate it but not like it (after all, some of those stereotypes are well-founded). The problem comes in where parents haven't done it and believe the anti-drug advertisements, or where they have done too much of it and become burn-outs in their own lives.

But you've gotten really good advice so far.

I think if you're gonna smoke at home, then getting caught should be a scenario you're pretty comfortable with.

I think my parents know i smoke. im not really one for hiding my stuff, i dont mind if they find out as i would rather not lie to them if they did find anything. So im sure they will have found my stuff as it is just in my dresser draw. i think they know i smoke but they know i do well in school and have a job 5 nights a week so i think they can respect and tolerate my own choice. They used to know i smoked and they let me make my own choice on that. And i know they hate tabbaco so much more than weed as they both used to smoke weed.

My parents definately have an inkling, more my dad than my mom...

My dad's into stoner culture, loves watching old 70s movies and listening to Greatful Dead, Allman Bros and Floyd, and one of his favorite songs is "Don't Bogart That Joint" (Holy Modal Rounders)

One of my mom's favorite movies is Dude Where's My Car, and she's a very medical savvy person, so I know she'd listen to me if I told her what I did.

But I'm not going to tell them unless they ask. Then I will answer 100% truthfully.
