Hi everyone. Ima new person to this forum and i'd first and foremost like to say it's a wonderful thing. But to get to what i wanted to say...I'm trying to get into growing my own stuff. I've done so much reading on the topic in so many different websites and forums. Basically i was wondering could some of you guys out there point me in the right direction as far as the type of lighting, I have ideas as far as soil and potting goes, but when it gets into timers and different lil setups for growing. Im going to post some pics of my lil storage room that i wanted to use to see if anybody could get me any ideas of how i could use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and by that i dont mean someone else saying "look through the forum." Thanx

First thing you've got to ask yourself is, how hot does it get in there. Cause if it gets to hot in there then its gonna kill ur plants before they have even started.

It doesnt get hot in there at all really which is quite shocking to me. I kno that I'll need to do a lil cleaning it out a lil because idk if there are any types of lil bugs or anything running around in there but besides that it's fairly cool and clean in there. I have some knowledge of what i need to do to start off and another thing, am i going to have to build any type of box or anything cause i kno lil light needs to be let in?

What happens if you gotta get your water heater fixed? Then you gotta take down your grow. If possible I would find a better spot.

Why would you move your grow if some roof tiles blew off? Why don't you just replace them? Obviously if someone had to repair his hot water heater, it would be impossible to hide his grow, hence he will have to move it or do without hot water.

If you are gonna try to be a smartass, at least say something smart, not idiotic.

i have grown for a good long while, always in the same space with a 400hps(430hps for a bit as well). imo if you have the space and means of cooling don't get less than 1kw. you put alot of time and effort into growing so you might as well get a large payback on your investment. with practice i was able to yeild close to a lb with the 400hps growing scrog style, just imagine if i had been using a 1kw light instead. with the same time and effort(slightly higher energy expense) i could have well over doubled that yeild. with all that being said i have only 1 more thing to say...... 1KW HPS COOLTUBE

i thank everyone for there advice and whatnot. I've seen the light set ups with the chains connected to them. Do they already come put together like that or do i have to assemble some light set up. But for me and my particular storage room what type of lights should i use and how much do would they run for if anybody has any idea
