View Full Version : Doco's Hut
Right, so here is my small medical grow area as of now. It began in a little closet with CFL lights and evolved in this Hydro Hut mini with 400w HID. My early attempts at indoor growing were not prettyâ?¦over watering, heat problems, nutes too soon, soil too rich for seedlingsâ?¦ I got to experience all the classic noob enthusiasm errors firsthand.
This batch has managed to survive my attempts to learn from my mistakes (so far).
The smaller plants were from seed & are Cinderella-99, Troublemaker, and various bagseed, some good, some schwag. They are about 3½ weeks old and really just started growing good a couple weeks ago when I transplanted them into seedling soil. Some are doing better than others but I think theyâ??ll be fine.
The bigger plants are clones generously given to me by another medical member and can trace their lineage to Jedi x Cristal. They were cloned from a flowering mother so they are still revegging although the new growth seems normal again now. I transplanted them into soil from rockwool/hydroton last weekend and I expected them to have some shock but they never even whimpered, just took to it without even a wilt. Their growth is slow while they reveg and reroot - Iâ??m glad since I want the youngsters to catch up in size.

Nice bunch of plants, doco.
What about the "re-veg" thing? I tried to sex plants before by going 12-12 until they showed and then go bach to 18-6. But, the plants did not respond well. The regrowth was mutated, stunted leaves, some only single leflets. My friend plans on trying this again. Any help with this?
Thanks,
Shov
I got the clones already well into reveg so I don't have a timeline but two of them look nearly fully recovered and the other is showing good progress, starting to put out five fingered leaves again after having many mutated singles and sets of three. Here's a closer shot of that one. I guess we'll see what happens together!
Got a good scare over the weekend...I watered all the plants and gave them their first (scheduled) nutes, 1/2 strength. When I checked in on them Sunday night they were all wilted and I thought they had taken badly to the nutes or something but by Monday night when the lights came on again they were standing tall and looking great again. The Mangos (clones) have got a lot of new growth and appear to be in full veg mode again, woot!
Some of them seem to be stretching some...I think the light is close enough (15") so I am starting to wonder about this 400w MH conversion bulb...I got it off eBay and am not certain of it's temp....might be warmer spectrum than I wanted.
Yesterday I bought another 400w ballast and next Im gonna hunt for a true 6500k MH bulb. Next grow I'll run both the MH and the HPS at the same time with dual cootubes in series...this 6" vortex fan seems like it could easily cool two of them.
Pics in a few days!

Doco, over there on Morena down there off of sea world drive there is that Light Bulb store. You tried there?
San Diego Light Bulb Co
Address: 1655 Morena Blvd # A, San Diego, CA 92110 Phone:(619) 276-1500
They claim they have EVERY light bulb on their sign. I see it all the time on the way back from pt. loma when i go fishing.
Heya Dusto2k3, how's it goin? Yep, I went by that place when I was first getting set up. There's actually two pretty big lighting & electrical places in that same area...one asked if I wanted pulse or probe mogul sockets (isn't that a ballast/bulb function?) and the other told me moguls only came in 3-way versions lol, so I never went back. You're right though, I'll bet they would have the bulbs.
My searching turned up some interesting results tho....most of the 400w MH bulbs out there are in the range of 4000 - 4200 Kelvin which seems too warm to me for the best vegging. I ended up with a 6500 K one from an aquarium store and the ballast I ordered came today.
However.....!!! I just got a gander at my electricity bill for the month. This small setup I have with 400w light (on 18/6) 6" vortex fan (18/6) and 265cfm Dayton squirrel cage exhaust (24/7) put my bill up about $60 for the month and about doubled my normal usage. I'm a little hesitant to add another 400w and attract more attention. Sure, if the cops come, I am a medical patient and am growing only the legal number of plants but I don't even wanna be on the radar at all, you know what I mean? ;)
Anyway, I'll see how they do for awhile like this and if I think I need another 400 watter, I've already got it.
BTW, your plants are looking awesome man, I'm jealous. Mine had a rough childhood and they still wake up sometimes with nightmares of being over watered :p

yeah, mine are like 5 weeks in now. they llok like crap. There are some serious defeciencies in the nutes. I don't know what it is. So, we are using canna nutes now and we are scrapping those instead and using Fox Farm. We just took like 30 clippings and we are gonna veg them for like 1 month and then flower 24 of them. We are gonna have all AK-47. Right now we have like 8 of the purple erkle and 7 ak 47 going. They should be done right at new years. So we'll be stoned as hell on new year....maybe even sleeping LoL. Cant wait. Oh, our elect. bill used to be 135 for the house, now its 225. Thats with 4" vortex, 6" vortex 1000wHPS, 6x24w T5 H.O fixtue, 6 4' flourscent bulbs and like 3 little circulating fans. Not too bad. I would like add some supplementary CFL's in the hut to flower in. We're running veg in the closet and flower in the Hut. Hey, take it easy and good luck.
I want to try the Mango when you're done, I should have crypt AK, so we will have to collaborate :joint1:on a sesh some time. TTYL, peace.
Here's some updated pics. Things are coming along well enough all things considered. The clones are doing incredible especially when I compare these pictures to the ones 10 days ago.
Started using Pure Blend Pro, Liquid Karma, Cal-Mag & spraying now & then with Growth Excel. Got some nute burn on some of them but they are OK.
As soon as I can sex some of these I'll transplant 5 of them (I hope 5 outta 9 female/male) into the same size pots as the clones. I'm going to let them veg through Dec so I won't be harvesting until early March or so.
Dusto2k3, yours are going to be finished a lot sooner than mine but we can definitely have our own little Cannabis Cup smoke off!
The next couple months are gonna be fun to watch these blossom!

Doco, i is super fun to watch them blossom. I noticed mine are gettin' fat in these last couple of days.
I heard that that Growth Excel kicks ass. I wanted to try it myself, but I don't have a friggin' job now so my funds are limited.
What did you ever do about the leaks of light on the flaps?
Oh, do you use the cal mag everytime you water? I am gonna implement using the Cal mag with RO water with my new clones.
And I seen that you were looking for some Arjans Ultra Haze #1. FYI I can get you clones of the Arjans Ultra Haze #2. I ordered some seeds a while back. We grew 'em, but they are tall suckers and our AK's are short. Not a good mix for flowering. So we gave the UH#2 to my buddy.
Yes I use the Cal-Mag every time I nute, which so far has been every watering the last couple times. It adds a bit of N so I like to use it with the others. I think I might do a nute/nute/plain water regime and see how that goes. They are starting to get thirstier and I may need to water more than once a week like I have been. Actually they are each getting thirsty at different times so now I have to feel the pots to know when to feed them.
For the light leaks I did what you do and it seems to work pretty good. Thanks for the tip!! Thanks too for the VERY generous offer of the clones but I've got a full house at the moment. I'm going to put together a cloning/vegging cabinet towards the first part of next year.
If you wanna try some Growth Excel, just lemme know and I'll get some to you. A small amount lasts a long time foliar feeding so I can share what I have with you. I visit my sister up in Carlsbad every other weekend or so (get to play with my nephews) so I'm up in your neighborhood pretty regular. Hit me up at

Minor update. Nothing really new to report except they are getting big and I need to thin down the garden. My intention was for the ones in the 6" pots to show sex before I transplanted but since they have not, I topped the tallest three to see if I can get them to show sex in the next couple of days. They are the stretchy ones I suspect are males but can't really tell for sure yet. In the end I will only keep the three clones (already in 3 gallon pots in the pictures) and a few of the ones in 6" pots which I'll transplant in 3 gallon pots as soon as they sex. I am finding this hut really cant can't do justice to more than 4 or maybe 6 plants (original plan was for 8) and let them reach maximum potential. The C-99 in the center is feminized so thats a keeper for sure.
The smell is wonderful!! I love coming into this room...just the aroma is intoxicating. Need to put on the scrubber next weekend.
Pic 1 is the whole garden, pic 2 shows some of the internodal growth, 3 & 4 are the clones. Enjoy!! :D
Lol, I just looked at the pics in the first post...three weeks makes a lot of difference!!! :greenthumb:
I'll say it does. Up close I can see the pots, but the first recent picture's preview image looks like a shot of the Amazon. Oh, and if someone takes a curling iron to some of your leaves and paints a few others yellow in a fit of envy, it wasn't me. :angelsmiley:

Sounds good Dusto2k3, I'll give you a shout.
And I'll know right where to look if my girls are wearing any crazy new hairdo's CCIE :D
Ok, I thinned out the garden - gave 5 of the girls away and transplanted four others into their final 3 gallon pots. Good thing too cause these girls are wanting to spread their wings. Next time I'm only doing four at a time.
Topped the four new ones (Mango clones already were topped) and I'll start flowering New Years day. Also got a new Jedi clone that was well rooted so it went into a 6" pot of Ocean Forest...it'll be my new first mother for learning cloning.
Just picked up a surplus C-13 style cabinet that I'm gonna use for a new cloning/mother cabinet. Inspired by so many nice cabs on this site, I picked up a New Wave 4 bulb T5 HO fluorescent fixture that will hopefully be enough for the mother and I'll just have a couple CFL's with an aero cloner up top for cloning. Stay tuned...
In the pics, the four closest and to the left of camera are the newly topped youngsters, the bigger mangos are against the back and right wall.

Hiya KD - your cabinet with the T5 inspired me to get one for my mothering cab too, so in a sense, this is your garden also. In fact everything I know about indoor gardening I learned from you and people like you on this site...people willing to share their experiences and chronicle their grows. So many people here have helped me get to this point and I am only passing on what was so freely given to me - no need to be jealous at all.... we are all just sharing.

That is a real nice grow, doco. I'm trying T5s myself (with T8s and HPS) and I think our grows are about the same age (I seeded 11-4) Your plants look very healthy/happy. I'm going to 2700K 54W T5s and 34W T8s from the 4100k that I used for veggin'. With the 250W HPS in a 4' x 3' x 6'6"H. That's a total of 530W right now, I well add a second 250W HPS in a couple of weeks when I go to bloom to total 780W in a 4' x 4' square. Similar grows, except for the strains.
Shov
Thanks Shov. Ya, they are nice and healthy now but it wasn't always so. They were quite stunted for several weeks from over watering them when they were seedlings and I'm glad they've come along. Just shows how resilient cannabis is.
I like the light setup you have for your cabinet. How are the T8's compared to the T5's? I'm wondering if I can get away with T8's for the cloning section of the cab I'm putting together?

T-8 34 watts are a good economical light source. Great for starting seeds or clones. My 4' 2 lamp T8 fixtures have the german 98% ref. aluminized reflectors. Lots of light from them! I have six of these fixtures, I only use one for growing right now, right on the top of the grow area.
Shov
I'm gonna start another thread for the clone/mother cabinet cause I don't wanna hijack my own thread lol.:D But I did get a 2' 2 bulb T8 today for the clones. They are cool white and about 4200 K (same as the MH bulb I'm vegging with now in the hydrohut). If I think I need to later, I'll get some 6500 K bulbs. The cab is only 36" wide so this is the largest I could get to fit. I'm only doing like 4 or 5 clones at a time and it will be in a aero cloner so only about a week in the cloner before heading for the vegging hut.
OK with the Troublemaker now in the mother cab, I rearranged the hut to maximize light penetration for the remaining 6 plants, installed the carbon scrubber, switched to the HPS bulb and and set timers to 12/12 last night.
Looks like a lot better light penetration with the HPS lamp. It's 12,000 - 15,000 more lumens than the MH conversion bulb I used for vegging so I've got high hopes for these girls.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!! I'm off to the family gathering....
Starting to stretch out some - the C-99 especially has really spread herself out with the side branching and she is going from being the smallest to the tallest of the three started from seed. The clones are starting to put out many more random hairs and the natives are showing a few here and there.
Not much to show in the pics so here's a shot of my fan/scrubber setup and my light with my legal Medical Recommendation on top (just in case).
Group shot of the girls - check out the C-99 in the center and how she's spread all out.

Here's a few recent pics, one week into flowering. The clones have really started to show the most pistils with the c-99 showing several too. The two unknown beefers are only throwing a few here and there while their stalks continue get thick as trees.
The CF-99 has stretched all her branches out like 8-10" and made a little nest for herself...its a trip cause she's naked in the center but shes created like a bowl all around her. She's in the center of the pics. Looks like this next week is when they will all really start to fill out and start buds
A couple of wide shots of the hut. Although you can't tell in these pictures, the bud sites are beginning to form nicely on the Mango's & the Cinderella 99. The two mystery girls have some pistils forming but they seem to be blooming a bit slower than the rest, and they are side branching like mad. Could just be genetics.
I'll wait a week or so for the next pics so the budsites are better defined. Within the next couple of weeks I'm going to experiment with some Promalin on one of the mystery plants - the two are nearly identical to one another at this point and it will be a good semi-controlled experiment to check to results of this growth enhancer.

Thanks Canuck, glad you like the setup.
This Mango is not the same commercial 100% Indica Mango you see around everywhere- it's a Jedi x Christal Indica/Sativa cross that is only available from clones as far as I know. I was very fortunate to get 3 well rooted ones that have really turned into beauties. They started showing preflowers within a week of transplanting and have nicely flowered since I put them on 12/12 with an HPS a week ago.
Some of the budsites are beginning to form now so here's a couple pics. Still just baby budsites so I hope these aren't just boring. :o Pic 1 is the whole hut (thank you Mr. Obvious!!), pic 2 is a C-99 (my fav), 3, 4, & 5 are Mango's.
The two unknown bagseed plants are throwing hairs but no substantial budsites worth taking pics of yet. They'll get there... :)

Thanks Jedi - can't wait to see your HH setup too.
I was originally going to try and grow in a closet with CFL's but got the inspiration for the hut from Dusto2K3's setup here: http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=80478
Stealth pretty much went out the window as it's rather difficult to explain a 4 x 4 x 7 canvas tent with fans humming away but it's tucked away in an extra bedroom so it's not been a problem.
Let me know when you get your log posted...What strains are you growing? It will be fun to watch their progress together.
Just another random shot of one of the Mangos.
Went looking for molasses today and all I could find at three different stores was unsulfured - I wanted some blackstrap or sulfured but I guess the unsulfured is better than none.

I wasn't sure if I should grab blackstrap molasses, or even what that meant. I just got the regular cooking molasses. It still has Fe, Mg, carbs and other good stuff so I'll use it anyway. What's the best thing to look for in molasses?

I think StinkyAttic and BlueBear recommend the sulfured molasses from what I remember but I'm not sure why. Perhaps the sulfur helps in mold prevention? Here's an article by the 3LB's that is everything you EVER wanted to know about molasses: http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=81681

Nooo! Unsulfured!!!
Yes you are correct though that sulfur prevents mold... problem is, it can also lock out nutes in your medium, so that's why sulfure fungicides are used as fogs rather than systemics or soil drenches... you're better off using bacillus subtilis as a soil drench anyway, and I think it actually kind of LIKES molasses!
But anyway your grow is hella tight. I'm really impressed! Plants look good, and I like this log. Sorry I've been lurking! :D
Nooo! Unsulfured!!!
Ok good, glad to hear that! I ended up with some organic unsulfured. I finally found a market that had Blackstrap molasses but it looked like the organic stuff that I got had twice the potassium in it...I'll have to monitor to be sure it's not too much.
Thanks for the comments too Stinky...means a lot to me coming from you.

Thanks bro, looking good over there!!
Ok, you guys asked for it...I feel like I'm taking pics of my first child or something - every day I wanna take new ones!
Girls are thirsty so tonight they get their first molasses cocktail. I'm going to Ph them again just to be sure everything is in range...my Jedi clone in the mother/cloning cab was at like 5 last night and I have no idea how it got so low so fast. I watered it again with some Ph-up at 8.5 and it leveled off the runoff at 6.5 but it shocked me how fast it went south.
I also dosed the two bagseed plants with Promalin a couple of days ago - it will be interesting to watch the experiment. U.G.U. had some promising results in his thread about it, with his treated plants having significantly better yield. Being that Promalin also contains variations of some gibberellic acids, I wanted to experiment on the bagseed plants first. ;)
Pic 1 are Mango, pic 2 is C-99, and Pic 3 is another Mango.
Here are some recent pics of the girls, three weeks into flower. The Mango's and C-99 continue to look good and are starting to show some sugar.
The bagseed plants have really slowed down to a crawl (they were treated with the promalin), no real further bud development, etc....just stagnated. Kinda odd, but I did find the Ph to be high (7) on those two. I was told the promalin worked better with some strains than others... I'll try it again later on another strain.
Sorry for the mediocre pics...was in a hurry.

That is a sweet pic doco! All your plants look really great.
Thanks everybody! That sugar shot was completely accidentally a good pic. :)
I'm starting to think that the bagseed/promalin plants are just gonna be real slow maturing plants. I have no idea what the genetics are - could even be some mexican brick. They seem to be growing fine and healthy, just not budding as quickly or as much as the known hybrids so I am probably jumping the gun if I insinuated the promalin had any negative effect on them. We'll just watch them as they come along. I have no time-lines really...
Got the email Dusto2k3, I'll catch you later. I'm going to check out that thread you linked....u.g.u. had such great results with that stuff I am super stoked to find out more about it.
So much is genetics dependent Jedi - I am sure your plants are going to kick ass...you have better light, more space for them to stretch out and get light where it's needed....I'd trade set-ups with you!! Looking forward to the new pics.
Notorious, when I was new here, your grow was one that I watched regularly. So many people seem to be here for a grow and then sort of drift off...I'm glad youre back and thinking about growing another round.

Kd, you need some space for these Huts, if someone walked by, they'd be like... "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING"{, i don't know about Doco's, but my Hut has 4 and 6 inch ducting coming out of the sides, so its not stealthy at all.

Yeah I know I want a house so badly.... my cab is cool cuz its stealthy. but a little celler or codl starage in a house would allow me to really express myself Properly...lol
kd
I'm in an apartment too kd, I just have it in the extra bedroom which does double duty as my computer room. It is not stealth at all but even without seeing it, the sound alone coming from that room sounds like a 747 warming up, with all the fans etc. so having guests that don't partake is difficult.
Last week I had a notice on my door of an apartment inspection (they are considering converting these apts to condos)!! I made sure that the growroom door was partially closed, surfboard and towels leaning across the hut and other junk scattered around to make that room uninviting to enter. Then, the day of the inspection, I put a sign on my front door that I was home very sick and please do not disturb me. It worked!! Nobody came to my place. In any event, this is a medical grow and I'm within the law to have this growing but I want to avoid as much conflict as possible. I have copies of my MM Recommendation hanging in the Mother/Clone cabinet as well as on my lights in the hut - If the apartment management had found it and wanted to kick me out, I would be on the phone soooo fast to an attorney...I might be the first case to challenge eviction based on medical marijuana needs....lots of unpleasant headlines.
But, thankfully, we got through this one and won't have to test the legalities this week anyway.
I think your cab is awesome anyway - you have some sweet plants!!

Thats a good trick.... I have had the workers right in the apartment with the cab in plain veiw.. the compuetr fans I use are a bit loud But, they never said anything. they just want to get the work done and get out of there.
I try and be home if I can to offer them drinks and shit to help keep them focused on me..
I do not have a medical license. Thats a bad thing but a good thing at the same time I guess... I honestly don't think I would get into too much trouble with the cops cuz its only a few plants and Im in Canada. From what I understand they are pretty Light here on personal use.. At one point it was a ticket for anythign under a ounce... but that changed a few years back. Now the PC government is taking over (We used to be Liberal) so I'm sure the penilties will be on the rise....

well anyway they do look tasty doco. I hope I can grow buds like that in my apartment soon!
I dunno...they don't seem to be fattening up any...maybe it's the strains but I think they should be doing better at this stage. They are at 6 weeks this coming Sunday.
Yours are looking sweet Canuck - good growing!

Heh, thanks man. I'll trade you a little fatness for some of those icy-lookin' trichs! ;)
I was thinking the same about my buds to be honest, but this last week, the 7th week, they put on more weight. I don't know when mine are done but they seem to be fattening up all at the end. Are your girls about 8-9 weeks? I'll bet they start plumping up real soon.
Even if they don't fatten to your liking you'll have some hash for sure.
End of week six. Should be looking at about two or three more weeks till harvest. A couple weeks longer for the unknown bagseed which are lagging behind the hydrids in maturity. When should I quit feeding them nutes and begin to flush?

Hey Doco looking sweet....
I started watering with plain water at week 7 and to be honest I was a little too late I think. I didn't flush,, I just watered with plain Phd 6.8 water and made sure I had 10% run off...
I wish I had started at around week 6. As mine finised up around week 8. I plan to harvest my other plant tonight as Its looking kinda hurt... With no food in it for some time now Its leafs have all started to drop etc.
You see my plants weren't smelling that great so I kinda wished I went with just water earlier. but then again I don't totally know. People here say 10 days before harvest use plain water. In this book I have written by a conisure of weed (Cannabible3) He says for good tasting weed be sure to feed only water for 1 month before.. I thought that was alittle extream.
Make you best call.. I would say two weeks before harvest should be good and be prepared for your plants to look hurt. cuz they will be but not in the buds...
thats my 2 cents...
Im excited to chekc out your harvest. I don't know if you saw but I harvbested one of my ladies on the weekend. Its in my thread ill post the pictures from the other one tonight, My log needs an update anyways...
kd
ok thanks KD. I just fed them last night so I guess it will just be water from here on. The leaves are mostly quite dark green - they probably had too much N from the beginning so they should have plenty of stored reserves.
I have had a house guest over the weekend so I havent had a chance to check out your harvest but I'll head over there tonight when I get home. Congrats!!

Doco, how bout a promalin Updat. Tonight I'll make a side by side with treated/untreated
The promalin bagseed plants are way lagging....maybe I hit them with it at the wrong time or maybe because I didn't know the strain - it could be they are doing what they are supposed to, but they are at least two weeks behind all the other plants in the hut and the buds are nothing to write home about. But, I still believe in it and will try it again on my next grow....Im going to flower the Kush Bush (after I snag a few clones) that is in the mother cabinet and it is going to be a monster....been vegging now for over 3 months and has so many lateral branches - it's going to take up the whole hut by itself.

And they're coming down the homestretch! Looking good, brah!
Here's a couple more pics for your viewing pleasure. I looked at the trichomes from the C-99 and they were all clear but the Mangos have some cloudy.
And here are the promalin treated unknown origin strain.

Hey Doco.....
Your plants look extreamly healthy... Lush Lush Green... My seedlings are comming along nicely.
Looks like you will be harvesting soon eh? Sweet ass!!!
I look foward to seeing you end result. So how much Crizzel do you have rammed in your aprtment? You have a Tent and a Cab?
kd
Here we are at the end of week 7, 49 days flowering today. Starting to plump up a bit and have some cloudy trichomes so we are getting close. Had to tie up a couple branches that were leaning over, sure didn't wanna snap any at this stage.
And here's a couple more I took with the HPS lamp off - color is so much better.
Check the odd shaped small leaves coming from the unknown breed at the bottom left of pic 2. Those are the promalin treated plants and they are still a few weeks out yet. The C-99 and the Mango's should be ready in the next week or two.

Looking really dang good Doco..... Nice and Pro Does your room wreak of The Ganj?
Kepe it up I can't wait till you chop them.. Is the anticipation killing you?
kd
Thanks for the props KD.
When I first walk into my apt I can catch a whiff of it but its a mild aroma..the mango and the C-99 are both light odor strains and the unknown is not bad either. I have a 6 in. carbon filter inside the hut with a 265 Dayton fan cleansing the air and I also have two odor control CFLs hanging in the hut.
While I am looking forward to smoking em, the anticipation is not killing me...watching them blossom into the the beautiful women they have become has been the best part. Since this is my first indoor grow I have really learned alot and met some really great people along the way.
Don't get me wrong - I'm gonna to dive knee deep into the C-99...Ive never had it but Ive heard great things about the stone. The Mango comes from some old school local clones that I know are great.
Wait till you see the Hindu Kush x Master Kush thats coming into the hut next...its been vegging for three months and its just gonna go off!!

Let's see some updates man! I started harvesting Monday, and finished tonight! Pics tomorrow...
Well, I apologize to everyone but I lent my camera to a friend and I harvested the C-99 on Monday but I have no pics :( . I really only got like four main branches, mainly because I think I had it too crowded in the mini hut and they didn't get good light penetration to the secondary branches. :wtf:
Still, I learned a great deal from all of you and I owe you a great debt for all your help with my first indoor grow. It was great fun to cut and manicure it too!! The aroma is intoxicating on it's own.
I'm picking the camera up again Saturday and I will have it back in time for the Mango harvest which is expected this weekend.
After that, the Kush bush gets started flowering. I just took clones from her and the Jedi and they are in the aerocloner now, some looking kinda pathetic but I know they always do at first.
Next, I am setting up a four bucket recirculating waterfarm. I'm building and testing it in another room now and when the Kush is finished in a couple months I'll take my first shot at hydroponics.

that waterfarm should be ecxcellent. Ima give my go at hydro in the coco with drippers next. Then it should be kinda self sufficient. No more reaching to water...i just have to stand there. LoL

Good work Doco,,,,, takes some picts of that BUD when you geta chacne ,,, Harvest time is toones of Fun
I did my other plant a few days ago I think Monday as well... 10 weeks flowering... Man that was a long wait but I yeilded so much more than the other plant that a chopped 2 weeks ago...
Both plants were from the same bag of Seeds... Two toally different plants it was cool... One a Sativa and one a Indica...
the plant with the sativa genetics...went total Xmas tree style on me.. Way bigger yeild.. I saw close to an ounce or dry bud... and that was 15 ince tall plant...
ill get some picts up soon...
kd
Here we are end of week 9 flowering on the Mango and they still have a lot of clear trichomes with only maybe 2% amber so I am letting them continue on. The leaves have begun to yellow some as they use up their own nutrients and I'm guessing within the next week or so they will be ready. The clone provider was spot-on when he guessed 65 days for soil. Many of the branches needs support or they'd fall over from the weight of the flowers - luckily the plants are close to one another and provide some support.
I'm thinking I was premature in harvesting the C-99 - yeild was crappy but the stone is excellent. Curing now. Live & learn - no more crowding the grow room.
Sorry for the crappy pics - I've changed something in the camera that's messed me all up.

Mighty fine girls there doco! The mangoes look beautiful. -c
Well, one Mango that I hadn't been checking as often turns out the first to be ready, about 20% amber tonight day 65 flowering, so down she goes. Here's a Before and After!
Two more just like her soon to follow - one tomorrow night probably and the other looks like it may be a little off still.
Better yield than the C-99 for sure - look forward to weighing her when she's dried in six days or so.

Looks good Doco,,,,,
How bad does she smell... Does it stink you aprtment right up?
I haven't updated in so long. I have two females that I just put into flowering, One has fan leaves the size of my hand. Its huge. I hope the nugs are the same way.
Your grows look awsome so do you have more to move into the HUt once these finish?
As well did you sample any? Quick dry in the oven?

Smell is not too bad - the Cinderella-99 was worse. This strain is not that stinky. Haven't tried any of it yet really...no oven nugs but I did hit the scrapings from the trim scissors....boohya!
One more dirt girl get flowered in a week -the next guest of the hut will be a Kush cross that has been vegging for 4 months....been topped twice and is a manageable 34" tall with dozens of side branches...should be a fun one to watch. After that I'm trying my hand at hydro.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
