Hey guys and girls
Ive been having a problem with the ph of my water for quite a sometime. I was unable to get a ph checker or ph up/down. I now got all that stuff and my water is ok. Its coming out of the tap at 8 and I bring it down to 6.5 or so and let it sit out for a couple of days to let the chlorine evaporate. Ive watered themthree times since I got the ph right and there still ahving a few problems. The soil I got them in says its good for up to 60 days so I havent added any nutes to them yet. I believe my nutes in my soil got locked up due to the ph being fucked up, so IF I continue giving it good phd water will it fix the problem or will I have to flush these plants and start with some nutes like the three pack of fox farms growbig, tigerbloom, bigbloom.

are you ph'ing your water then letting it sit out to evaporate the chlorine? You need to check the ph again after it has sat out. Sounds like you have one of those soils that have nutes in them. From all the posts i have read on here, that is not very good. You need a regular potting soil with no nutes. Do you have access to soils like Pro-mix or Foxfarm? I used miracle-gro soils first few times i tried growing.. both regular and their so called organic soil, i failed with both soils. I got foxfarm ocean forest and have had nothing but awesome results.

Yes I do check it every time before I water. I have a soil with the following ingrediants sedge peat, sphagnum, peat, pearlite, bone meal, feather meal, bat guano, seabird guano, rock phosphate w/humates, lime, and fossilized kelp.:rasta: Its made by power flower I emailed them and they said theres no specific npk for each bag. I havent added any nutes to these because I thought this soil would be good enough until I put them into flower.

your soil sounds pretty good, almost like the foxfarm stuff. How old are your plants? Got any pics?

I got my plants as clones on oct11th and planted them in this soil right away. I havent added any nutes to my vegging ones and only added a small dose of nutes for my flowering ones. Here are some pics of my ladies and some of the leaves that I cut off

I do know in hydro you just fix the ph and the plant will begin to uptake nutrients...I don't replace the nutrients but I honestly am not sure about soil. I'm sure these folks can set you straight.....like your photos

I know its not a nutrient problem other than nutrient lockout, so im wondering if I continue watering with the newly phd water will this evetually unlock my nutrients??????????????????????

Hey guys when I checked my water it was at 6.5 so I added nutes and it went down to about 5.8-6.0. When the water comes out of the tap it is above 8.0. If I dont add any ph down to the water and just nutes will this be ok for bringing my ph down

Generally speaking, I believe you should test it out of the tap, adjust as needed, get it to the right number, add the nutes, test again, and adjust again. Perhaps someone else can comment on this but I have read this various places and do it myself...
