Hello everyone,

I'm a guitarist as well as a singer/songwriter(at least I try to be, lol) in the midwest. I have a few originals I would like to post as 'yousendit' links. I'm simply looking for any and all input(anything, including if you like or dislike) on the couple or so I will upload. FYI, I recorded all but one of these on thanksgiving day(so they're rough and only my section of the musical offerings, except for 'for Eleanor- expanded). I attempted to do so in one take so I know there is plenty of room for expansion. Thank you all very much for listening.

here are the links(all songs in mp3 format):

For Eleanor: http://www.yousendit.com/download/eGvbBhgPp3k%3D

For Eleanor-expanded(more instruments): http://download.yousendit.com/CF94EB42278B7A4A

Zepr: http://www.yousendit.com/download/eGuBkdm8p3k%3D

The River: http://www.yousendit.com/download/eGvsL3qXp3k%3D

Quest: http://www.yousendit.com/download/eGtxUQMvp3k%3D

I have others, but I think I'll just stick with this for now. Thank you all again

Has anyone had a chance to listen, yet? I'm just wondering how my music is coming along(in the eyes of someone completely nuetral).

Well, you seem to be deeply influenced by Trey Anastasio. I like the violins in the For Eleanor Expanded, and the rhythm of Zepr. I don't know, if you want me to be honest, I found the other 2 songs to be pretty plain, but don't want to discourage you in anyway, because it takes a lot to write a song. It'd be cool to hear some instruments along with the rest of your songs. Overall, good start.

I appreciate the input! Here's a link to my myspace with a few other songs and tentative lyrics for zepr:

I put up zepr and 3 other songs and posted some lyrics. I just haven't made it into the studio to lay vocals(god knows it's incredibly time consuming).

thanks!

I could only listen to what you had on myspace. Seems lke some solid stuff. If you could arrange it for a whole band it would be epic. It sounds like you've got some nice chops but you can't really show them off when you're just playing chords. But overall, I liked it a lot. Reminds me of DMB. Do you have a spot were I can download some of your more complete stuff?
