I was thinking of buying Sensi Seeds indoor mix of 40 seeds so I emailed them and asked if the seeds are all in 1 bag or whatever or are they bagged seperate, cos Id like to know what I may be growing. I got the impression I could end up with a couple of Jack Herer or maybe a Northern Light or some other equally good strain.
The reply I got is that the indoor mix comes in a single bag ie all mixed up, but what surprised me is that they told me what was in the bag and here is what you get in your indoor mix.
10 x Shiva Shanti
10 x Hindu Kush
10 x Afghani#1
10 x Maple leaf indica
So it would seem there is no chance of getting any real decent seeds in this mix.
Just thought I should share this info with you all.
Bye for now

Hi
What I was trying to put across is that the Sensi advertising suggests you could possibly get some really good strains from any of their indoor range.
I know your taking pot luck, but your not really getting a varied mix of all their indoor strains if they are able to name the strains (as they did) that are in the bag mixed or otherwise.
So all Im saying is that you dont really get a 40 seed mix of all their indoor strains, only strains they want you to have, which I listed.
So although the customer is given the impression they could have a really expensive strain such as a Jack Herer seed within the mix, this is simply not the case.
All is not what it 1st appears.
I wonder if anyone has ever got a really expensive seed within their mix, which has been positively identified as such:o
Be interesting to find out:)
All the best

a few seed suppliers seem to do simmilar offers...
i would guess the mixed bags consist of whatever is lying around at the time,
they may have had deliveries of un-even ammounts of seed,
but i would asume the bulk of the mixed bags are made up of strains that arnt as popular as whatever seeds are trendy at the time, so it helps them get rid of slow moving stock.....which dosent nesseseraly mean they are sub-standard, just not popular sellers.
its just good business sence, and if the price is right, then i would say go ahead and give them a try, but i would expect the price of 40 seeds to be less than the average price of 4 x 10 bags of thier medium/low priced "named" strains to make it worthwhile for the customer.
do the maths and see if it seems worth it.
it would be near imposible to identify wether any plants are specific strains, hence why the coustomer should pay less than the average equivelant for taking a chance.
so, for arguements sake, if thier average/lower price for 10 "named" seeds is £30,
30 x 4 (40 seeds)= £120
a fair price for "unknowns" would be about £60-£80
