You'll have to smoke a whole joint, but they work ok, especially since they're free anyway. I smoked a male about 2 months back, and it tasted very good, so smoking a whole joint was not a prob.

DO NOT THROW AWAY!!! But keep very, very far from any girls.

You don't want to grow it anymore, you want to kill it, stuff it in a brown paper bag in the shed at the end of the garden far, far from the females, let some air in once a day making sure you don't bring any pollen with you into the growroom (change clothes), then smoke after a week.

I understand what you mean, but I also remember my first plant and wanting to make absolutely positively 100% sure that it was male before I trashed it. And the only reference I had at the time was that one "this is male, this is female" pic that every cannabis info site uses...this one http://www.concept420.com/images/difference_male_female.jpg What an horrible reference pic. It should include a more mature male with nice round nuts.

Smoking males is pointless. You can't even get high using them to make hash oil let alone just smoking the flowers. Total waste of time and energy. At best you might get a placebo effect. thanks for letting me vent ;)

I respectfully disagree. I put it to the test a few months back, just to find out the truth myself. The previous 7 days I had smoked just a little over a gram of weed a day, to give you a reference of what my tolerance was at that point.

One full joint of male weed gave me a relaxed and gentle buzz, quite pleasant, though I wouldnt call it a stone.
That was enough for me to potter around and feel quite mellow for a couple of hours.
3 joints would have actually got me quite stoned.

It made me quite sleepy, and since I have serious insomnia problems, I was quite happy about that.
I suspect that I wasn't neccessarily reacting to THC, but one or some of the other cannaboids.

Ok this may seem like a stupid question but- How do you smoke males? What is it that you smoke? The pollen sacks? I laugh as I type this because I feel so ignorant on the subject, but I really wanna know what the deal is!

I've used my males both for cooking and smoking. Seems to me that smoking something a little different will give me a pretty good buzz first few times out till tolerance sets in.....a trichome is a trichome right? In answer to question of what to smokes; I just use the leaves not the pollen sacks. Others may have different thoughts on this...love to know.

Yupp, I smoked the new healthy looking growth, even some fans, but I ignored the older, worn out looking fans.
I just had it upside down in a paper bag for a week, and pulled off the better leaves and smoked. I caught the plant at it's very first bud, so it hardly had any time to mature.
He was a very healthy looking speciment though, which probably plays a part.
I experienced definite mild intoxication.

That's interesting, it almost sounds like a better high in some circumstances. Like, if I don't feel like passing out half an hour after I smoke- I should smoke a male! Lol, seriously though, thats cool that males get ya high.
