how many days?

hey guys. searched all over the forum, didn't find what i needed. so...

my boyfriend's getting a job soon (going through the interview process) and of course, he'll have to get a drug test done. they didn't tell him when yet because he's still in the early stages of the interview process.

anyway, he's about 180lbs, about 6' more or less. he's been smoking pot every day (at least once/day, however usually more then that on most days) for about 6 years now.

anyway, how many days should he be clean for before the test, while drinking lots of water and craberry juice, etc)? and if you guys have any other ideas (no "kits" please) to add, that'd be awesome. thanks! :rasta:

It varies a lot...theres no way to predict.

They have home-tests so he can check if he is clean before the real test.

Get cranberry extract pills fromthe store and take like 10 a day for like 10 days(should come in a bottle of 100) While drinking plenty of water and doing something that makes you sweat and you should be clean in about 10-15 days. But everyone is defferent like posted above so your mileage may vary. Home drug test cost like 15 bucks at walgreens and such. Hope that helped some.

The rate at which THC metabolites are eliminated from the body vary greatly from person to person. The half life of THC can vary from 0.8 days to 10 days, depending on the person. Also, changed in the person such as diet or activity level or weight gain/loss can change the half-life of a person. Obviously it will also vary on how much is smoked and how often and quality. I have seen people get clean in 5 days, others 55-60 days.

Skinny people tend to clear THC faster than obese people. Also, those with a higher activity level whether a hard labor job or those who exercise tend to clear THC quicker than those who are sedentary.

Drinking lots of water days before a test will not clear THC any faster. Drinking on the day of the test is called diluting and is a different story. Exercise, low fat diet, and taking soluble fiber supplements (Metamucil, etc) are about the only ways to spend things up. Out of these, exercise is most effective. Most anything else anyone tells you to do to speed things up are unproven wives' tales.

Home drug tests are available in drug stores, discount department stores, or online.

Read a book called Passing Drug Tests. It was written by a guy in Boulder, CO who did five years of parole, smoking weed just about everyday, and what he did to pass all of his random UA's. The co-author is a doctor of chemistry so it is informative and accurate. It explains about metabolism, the body's detoxification system, and what really works to get THC metabolites out of your body very quickly. The author now writes a monthly column for SKUNK magazine and he was recently hired by Green Candy Press to write a chapter about detoxification to be added to the Marijuana Chef Cookbook, he absolutely knows what he's talking about.

you can buy piss tests and drug stores and stuff just buy them and make him take a piss to c if its still in his system.

unfortunately we don't think he's going to pass because he probably won't have that much time to get clean so he doesn't care anymore (he mostly wanted this job before christmas, but i guess he's going to stick to his part time).

but thanks for all your advice because he'll probably need it for when he gets a job after christmas.

Wow, don't give up so easily. Winners never quit. Read the dilution and substitution threads and buy some online home drug tests for cheap and get busy doing some practice runs with dilution or get clean urine or fake urine and sub.

haha yeah you're right, i did tell him to try it anyway but he wants to have a few tokes a day up until the test, thinking he might just barely pass. i told him that there's no way that's going to happen.

anyhow, he's in trucking and he doesn't really want THIS job specifically anyway. and as i said he only mostly wanted ths job to make some cash for christmas, so i think he's just going to stick to his part time (which pays really well anyway). thanks for the encouragement though! :)
