alright this is my baby and its a bagseed grow from some dank purple i got, it has been growing under light for 27 days now and is 12 inches tall. there are a few things i am concerned about. i have my lights on 18/6 and at about 15 hours the leaves start to shy away from the light and droop down but when i turn the lights off and go to turn them back on they are back up, has anyone heard of this before? the pot that its in right now isnt that big and i think i might need to transplant it real soon what do you suggest? all comments and suggestions are welcome. oh and i am giving it pure blend pro, it says on the bottle to put in a half ounce for every gallon and it says for mature veg to give it an ounce for every gallon. do you think i should give it a haf or one ounce?

How often are you watering? And what kind of lights how far away? Can't answer your fert question about soil....

i usually water when the first two inches are dry, i got a 65 watt grow light and two 20 watt cfls that are equivalent to 75 watters. am i able to mix pure blend pro with liquid karma in the same pot or will it damage my plant

come on people read this thread and give me suggestions

since you are vegging, i'd suggest you go to lowes and spend 20$ on a double 48" flouro fixture and two GE daylight t12 40w tubes.

these are excellent for veg, don't produce heat so you can put them right on top of your plants (even touching) without fear of burning.

as for transplanting, i can't realy tell you wich soil, as i'm from a rural area and use local stuff.

if you aren't seeing any signs of nute burn, then up it to one ounce...

i really just need to know if its ok to feed two different nutes at once to your plant

.

Strange. She's quite stretched and not many nodes (though pretty and healthy otherwise), which would indicate lack of light, yet she wilts under the lights, as if they were too strong?
I would have guessed you were overwatering her, that tends to make them wilt, but you said you don't.

Maybe it's lack of nutes after all. Sorry, someone more pro than me will have to answer. I think KP's suggestion are good, though.

Edit: On closer inspection, she seems to have stretched earlier on, but is getting denser towards the top - my guess is you haven't been moving the lights and that she's only now reaching them?

Nutes: I'm no expert on that either. I know people don't recommend mixing organic and synthesised. For myself though, I'm mixing NPK with PK, two completely different brands, and it's working fine, but I think some brands may not marry as well.
You should post the NPK values of the nutes you're using.

Sorry I don't have better answers.

yeah i have no idea why the leaves did that it hasnt happened sence, im gonna go and get some new lights tomorrow, when i bought the pure blend pro the guy gave me some liquid karma but didnt inform me on how to use it and if i was to use it with the pure blend, the npk is 3/1.5/4

3/1.5/4 is perfectly normal veg nute though a little weak, as you may know already. Is that the pure blend pro? The liquid Karma seemed to be more hormones and stuff from the other thread on it. It looked good to me. Basically, it seemed to be about helping the plant use the nutes, it didin't seem to be a nute itself

If I was you though, I'd adress the real probs, which is what KP was touching on, I think.
Better lights, and I'd probably repot in a bigger pot too, and get the stem a little deeper down maybe.

i just put it into a bigger pot earlier today and the new lights im getting tomorrow, yeah its the pure blend pro, the liquid karma is 1-1-3,4,or5 not to sure

liquid karma is 1-1-3,4,or5 not to sure So it's high in potassium, which helps it with it's resistance and good for roots.

Just looking at the NPK values, they should be fine for vegging. Whether some unforeseen problems could occur from mixing brands, I can't say, but the combined nutes at 1:1 or possibly pure blend/Karma: 2:1 should be fine.

My two cents anyway.

make sure you get GE daylight... 6500k spec, will work wonders for you...

as for nutes, that's pretty weak. i know there's lots of bad press on miracle gro, but i've use mg all purpose for garden vegetables 24-8-16 for years, with nothing but excellent results. start at quarter strength and work up. just make sure you get the all purpose that is for garden vegetables, as mg makes like 500 differen kinds...

for flower, use a super phosphate, i like green light products, especially superbloom.

you can use the karma with any nutes, as it is formulated to help metabolize nutes. also adding a tablespoon of sugar per gallon helps...

get some good nutes, feel it out, an soon you will have exploding growth;)

what i meant about karma is that is contains hormones...

you'll want to feed one day, use karma a day or two later. my bad, sorry for the confusion.

mixing will change your npk to an average of the two.

ie 24-8-16 and 1-1-4 in equal quantities would be 12.5-4.5-10

Looking good so far! Can't wait to see it grow, new lights make all the difference! Where are you going to get your bulbs? I went to home depot and they only had CFL's up to 150watts and not in daylight so we went to a standard light bulb store and found 250watt daylight bulbs for $20 each... Usually places like that will cut you a deal for multiple lights... Haggle Baby!
What size pots did you transplant them into? Dude, I would LST the shit out of that plant!

ok yeah i get it i just fed its today after i transplanted so in two days use the karma?

i think its a two maybe 3 gallon im scared to lst i dont wanna break it

kindprincess

just remember that your values will be an average;)

kindprincess
11-24-2006, 03:48 AM
that'll do, and also, if you can, pick up some green light root builder. roots'll realy kick out with that stuff, so if you use it, just remember that you won't see any vegging growth for a day or two. the plant will be putting everything into the root developement.

sorry for being scattered, i'm trying to clean the kitchen and do this at the same time so...

with lst...

just be gentle... you'll be amazed at how much they'll bend. if you get to the stress point, tie off, leave for 24 hours, then bend some more:)

i top and lst, and vice versa. a sucker for experimentation;)

If you train it a little everyday, it won't break...

Just one plant??? You should start germinating more seeds!!

keeping my fingers crossed for a female!

Ah, there goes the timer, and everything went black. Believe me, the smell of flowering weed wafting through the apartment is delicious. So much better than the manhandled, dried crap we buy.
