Can the two mix?
I think i have a anxiety problem, i don't think it was caused by pot, i always had this feeling, but when i started smoking it went away now it comes back now and then, but not bad, mild. I only get it when im doing NOTHING, if i work oi dont get it, i get it when im WAITING to do something or for something to happen, i just get all edgy and have lots of thoughts and a "IMPENDING FEELING OF DOOM LOL" i question my sanity too which is ironic.
What i wanna know is do cannabia and anxiety mix? or is it down to the person?
should i go doctors? but if i do go doctors and they prescribe me something then ill have to quit pot right?
should i just stick to the natural stuff for anxiety? like st johns wort and htp..etc?
All views welcomed and please dont feel sorry for me in not in pain or nothing, i just get odd bouts of anxiety. :p;)

I've had this for years - and it seems to go away, and them come back.
It could be caused by something called Dysautonomia, a neurological disorder that is often associated with Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome. Mitral Valve Prolapse is very common and not serious, usually - and can be helped with diet and supplements. I'd recommend magnesium (includng extra calcium), and fish (or fish oil) as two of the most important things that helped me. Within the past two years I stopped eating foods containing gluten, and that was the key factor in my ongoing recovery from the effects of Celiac disease.
I also started taking 5-HTP, and it seems to be effective.
I recently stopped using "Splenda" sweetener - I think that it was causing problems. Many people have reported trouble with it.
There are other ways to combat anxiety - keeping busy and getting exercise definitely are important.

U see this anxiety seems to go away like u said but it always GOES AWAY when i eat normally,
when i go on holiday (cyprus, ibiza, amsterdam..etc) i eat properly and never have anxiety, but at home i dont eat breakfast, i eat junk food and a small dinner, and im sure thats my problem,
thanks for ur post its appreciated,
i think diet and excercise is key, ive gained a bit of weight in the last 3 months,

Marijuana is a fantastic cure for anxiety. I'm also a very anxious person, what you need to do is get some reggae music, buy a bag of weed, roll two spliffs and get "Jamming" hehehehe

-I dont have any anxiety problems so i'm not a good source. BUT a study last year supports the idea that large cannabis use can prevent anxiety and depression
should i go doctors? but if i do go doctors and they prescribe me something then ill have to quit pot right?
-Chemical treatments are not the ONLY treatment. Often a drug is used in conjunction with a psychologist. And after a while you can stop the drug, because you've learned to control it, or something
you might have to quite (i dont know). The problems is that no one is allowed to study Cannabis in the USA. there has been a moratorium on it's research since 1972!!!. So no company can really know if it's safe to use together.

I wouldn't go that far mate lol. If you want the authorities to seriously start listening to us, don't make absurd statements like that man. Nobody is denying the finite uses of cannabis but don't go overboard here.

i suffer from sever h.t.n.a.d. (hypertensive nervous anxiety dissorder) to the point of having epileptic seizures, which causes sever insomnia. i used to be anti drug to the max, would'nt even be around "family drugies"
looking back, i feel horrible. the plant is what has made my life normal again. it DOES help with anxiety/nerves, and helps my deppresion as well, no more seizures...
and i can sleep:)

Smoke indica. Take your fish oils, St John's Wort, and some stress (B) vitamins. Listen to good music. Eat healthy and exercise. Make a "to do" list for those odd moments when you have "nothing" to do and are getting stoned and anxious.- Granny Storm Crow

an absurd statement, WTF how is that absurd at all. because you dont know about it.
Your ignorance isn't a basis to call me a liar.
More So if you doubted my information, rather than insulting me ask for a fucking source.
As well notice how I say “support” as in not proven but strongly supported.
EXACTLY what the evidence warrents
Would you like me to cite my information:
