Our lifes are so dependant apon these two elements, If you take one away from existence. What kind of trouble/problems would america run into besides not being able to get around.

Personally I'd think totally anarchy would break out, Police officers no longer as moblie. Sure we would fine other ways. But thoughs ways would be greatly limited and would become fought over like a steak and a bunch of hungry lions. People shooting people for an electric scooter.

Are cars have become our lifes.

Wanna know how to invade the United States and take over? Cut off the supply of gasoline and we're dead in the water.

No kidding, why do you think wars are fought over it.
And I don't know if you know it, but at some point in the future, there will be NO gasoline left.

once gas rubs out or is soon to, people will have all different shit to use for the time being. If gas was predicted to run out in 3 years GM and everyone else would unleash their alternatives and make a fortune. The only reason they dont is because gas is more profitable.

I'm 24, and I don't drive, or even have a license to drive. I don't depend on gasoline, but as for public transportation, then yes, I guess I do reply on it.

Not only would we all become not mobile without cars, but what about our food shipments? Product shipments (clothing, tampons, toothpaste, deoderant, shampoo, etc...)? We would all be screwed and anarchy would break out.

Oh well, as long as it doesn't happen for another 50 yrs or so because then I'll die, and I guess I won't care. :p

Guess what, guys? The automobile was only invented about 100 years ago. Civillization managed to get by without them for thousands of years before that, and if necessary, we can get by without them again.

Yes, we can get by without gasoline no problem, but the problems on today is land doesn't run in families anymore. Back then, everyone was self-sufficiant growing their own crops, and raising their own food, but today, there is no more open land. IF we come to that point again, what good is a 12 story office building going to do for us? Or a movie theatre?

We'd have to tear it all down and start again, and even then, it would be very hard to grow any source of food.

Open land is scarce these days. There are a small number of crops, but even a bigger amount of buildings that would be 100% useless if no more shipments of product came along. We'd be screwed, without a doubt.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't worry about fuel shortages until they decide to shut down all motor sports. I mean, how serious can the problem be if we're still willing to waste billions of tons of gas every year just to see who can complete the most circles in the fastest time?

How silly...

If oil ran out tomorrow 95% of the population of everywhere would not survive. Every single aspect of your life is due to oil. The food you buy, the clothes you wear, transport, water, waste management, and possibly weed!!!!!!!

When was the wheel invented???

A really, really long time ago. But I don't understand what the wheel has to do with gas. Horses work on oats.
