What are you thankful for?

Tomorrow's Thanksgiving here in the United States, and that's supposed to be a time when we reflect on what we're thankful for and eat a big fall feast. This got me thinking that, even though this has been a sad year for my family, there's still a lot to be grateful for. Here are a few things I'm thankful about:

My health and that of my husband, son, younger sister and parents--and the fact that we all love each other and get along
My friends, including so many of you guys here, and my pets
The fact that I'm in school studying something I enjoy
The fact that we're having Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house, which means I don't have to prep for the event, cook for it, or clean up afterwards!

So what are you thankful for?

-I’m in good health; I am no longer on any meds.

-I have a beautiful girlfriend who loves me very much.

I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head and I don't have to spend most of my time in these grimy streets of Flint, I'm thankful for the food I know I'm gonna get tomorrow (lol) and I'm thankful to have the internet to pass some time :D!

It's estimated that there are about 35 million descendants of Mayflower passengers living today. You could be one of them, if you have ancestry in colonial New England.


I never had heard anything about the Mayflower in my family until I discovered it myself, about 5 years ago, by tracing my mother's line back - and there it was. Proving it with documentation was a challenge, but I did it.
