...Economy. I'll give a weird example here with a video game franchise, lets say madden football. They keep making a new madden each year because they are afraid of starting something new and having it fail. They know by making a new Madden game each year they will bring in the profits. Now lets apply this to the economy with history repeating itself. How about holidays? They come around each year repeating itself knowing it will bring in the $$$ to feed the economy. Wars? Wars keep coming around because of the economy, its pretty sickning but HEY, thats just the way it is...
I wish there was a way to take down economy, but we dug ourselfs in a such a deep hole that history will continue to repeat itself to keep the economy alive. Economy is each nations biggest "franchise", if you will, that they have to keep feeding to keep alive because we dug ourselfs this hole thats too far deep to get out of, hence history repeating itself. Thoughts? Sorry this another random thought from me...
PS: I seriously have no idea why this popped in my head and really felt like I lost the memory of thinking it up, lol

Why is the economy such an evil thing? They say money is the root of all evil.
I don't see the economy or money being the problem. What I view it is the disrespect of money many people have that businesses exploit. If you respect money, you would not be so dependent on the economy. You would respect what you have, and live within your means, buying only luxaries you put thought into buying. When people disrespect money, they buy things in impulse without thinking, they're the ones that get into debt, they're the ones who get rich quick, then lose it all because they refuse to control themselves. They are the ones that create problems for themselves. There will always be greed, because without it, there would be no motivation for innovation. It's up to each individual to control it.
Money can bring good things if you respect it. If you don't, you'll simply be a victim to constant exploitation.

yes, but I see money as an unessicary agreement between two people or a group for an exchange of item/items. What happend to trading? Money got inbetween all that and created power.
My main point though is why history repeats itself, not why economy mixed with money is evil. Thanks for the reply though, I enjoy reading other views from other people.

I should of quoted this earlier, you're correct, each person should be responsible for the chain reactions that happen in this world. This does crush my argument about trading, as we should all be sharing to create a better place. But my main point was why history is repeating itself, and your side point does go hand in hand with it.

Hey, I enjoy these kind of discussions!
How I observe money is that it facilitates trade. How can one determine the purchasing power of traded goods? It couldn't be constant because you have to factor in the supply of goods in the areas they live. Some areas, supply of a certain good might be abundent while others it's scarce. How does one establish a scale of purchasing power with millions and millions of possible goods? You'll have individuals refusing to accept goods because they don't need them. You'd have to trade one good, for another in order to get a good you want. That causes some problems. It's a lot easier to hand someone some money, so they can be free to purchase what they need without the hassle of trading multiple goods in order to get one specific good.
I believe the evilness comes from within ourselves. The desire for excess is what causes problems.

Ah yea, economics is one of the subjects I really enjoyed, I like how you can use it as a tool to study human behavior and use it to predict ones desires. Although I'm not very book-smart, otherwise I'd still be in school! I enjoy reading, I don't have the patience for books! But thanks for the compliments!
P.S. There is no right or wrong, because it's all relative to ones conditioning!
