Hey, I thought since I had a camera and a plant I might as well be posting. I got three clone from a friend of mine.(for free) She charged me two hugs, one on the way in and one on the way out. (can't beat that deal) The plant is a Jack Herer, a hybrid indica with a short flowering requirement. She likes to flower them right away after cloning, with little veg time. I went with a hortilux metal ace in a 400 watt hps ballast. I'm going to veg it till it's about 2 feet tall and then start flowering. The first picture are the two clones about 4 days after I got them. The next picture is at 3 weeks. My friends have reported getting 2 inches of a growth a day from this strain. The big one rooted in 5 days and the rest in the picture. I am using two waterfarm hydro kits and growing in my closet. I'm using superthrive, foxfarm grow big, and some Elanoirs' vf-11. I'll try to keep up on this as best as possible, but I'm moving soon so the internet might be off for a bit. Anyways, thanks for checking out the thread.

I decided to bend my plant rather than cut or break it. I just took some string, looped the top, bent it down and tid the string to the base of the plant. I read about the auxins theory and it seems to have worked. As soon as the main shoot was below the other branches, they started growing faster, and the main slowed down. I just cut the string before taking the pictures.

hey there madhatter... well first off.. you have a very good friend there;)..
damn i will give her 5hugs and do the washing up if she gives me some clones hehe... anyways things are looking pretty good.. im no expert but i can say your on the right track.... i would recemend bendinG (LST) that way you will get more bud from your babys and the lst will help to save you some height... just so you know.. if you plan on vegging till 2ft.. make sure you have the head room as the plant(s) will double if not triple in height when you flower them.. you sound like you have some knoledge.. but if you have any questions.. need any help dont be affraid to ask.. good luck to you m8;)

Thanks. I made sure I knew everything I needed to before I got into this grow. I just got out of the military after 8 years so I've been itchin' to grow something other than houseplants.
Went to Colorado for Thanksgiving... Pikes Peak area is beautiful. I was gone for 5 days and my plant grew like a weed! I trimmd a lot of the fan leaves off that were underneath the rest. Can anyone tell me where the buds grow on the stem? How much vegitation should I let grow? I am going for 2 feet before flowering, but I'm in no hurry to harvest. I just want big fat buds.

do you have enough room for 2 plants that size? if you start flowering at two feet then they should be some big bitches. they do look nice though, good luck.

Thanks for the advice Mrberrys, I know I will probably run out of room, but I have to move them in a week so I decided it was better to move them while veggin' than while they are flowering.

Here is 5 weeks. I bent the main node down pretty far and finally another stem is trying to compete with it. 5 days and I'm in the new house, so 5 more days of straight veggin'...

Somewhere around 8 weeks. Anyone have an idea about how big these buds will get? How much yield from two plants this big? Merry Christmas!

I forgot to mention that these babies are goin through about a gallon and a half of water every day, between the two.

Happy 2007 to all those following this thread! I'm know I'm late, but 2007 has been bitchin' so far! Here they are at 12 weeks I believe. That's 30 days into flower. 20 more or so and I'm snippin' them in half and growing out the bottoms. I've switched to gravity flower hardener instead of the usual fox tiger bloom. I'll do that for 2 more weeks and then flush. I have a lot of changes for my next grow. You guys were right about the room, I ran out, and it made them stretch instead of grow outward. The smaller side stems aren't going to develop now because of that. Thanks MH

Here is the last one at 64 days flowering. I have been starving it and spraying the buds with a diluted superthrive and tiger bloom solution. I was going to have it hanging by now, but it responded to the foilage spray so well that I decided waiting to 70 would be worth it. Gravity works well, but it really means it on the instructions that the light should be kept away while on it. I burned most the leaves off the top cola just after the gravity went in. I can't move my light, so I used a weak solution. That wasn't good enough to keep the plant healthy. It is doing just fine now though. The buds are super dense now, well worth the damage to the plant. I'm hoping for over four ounces, but I'll post the final amount later.:hippy:
