I'm sure there are people out there who have tried to steal someones identity like mine... Where they wouldn't even get a 50 dollar credit card in my name. I have bad credit. Now my feeling is, if someone ever attempted to steal my identity and was caught, he/she should than legally be responisble for my debt. Not just the fucked up shit they cause, but they should also be responisble for all the shit the other person has done. Did the man who's identity you stole kill a man? Congratulations, you thief, you wanted to steal his identity now rot in prison for his murder as well. Along with the asshole who killed the man.
But yeah, my feeling is, if you want to steal someone's identity to make a quick buck, you should legally become responsible for all the bad shit they have done. In extreme cases like rape and murder, the person who comitted the crimes is responisble too obviously and will still be punished.
Oh, if I were the pres... :bonghit:

So if you steal a car, and that car ran over a person, should you be put in prison for killing a person?
What if you smoked weed, and someone else smoked weed killed someone, should you be put in prison?

Yes, if you stole the identity of the person who stole the car and ran over the person. I will ignore the weed question.

Oh and yes, if I stole the car and ran over someone. Plus someone had stolen my identity... We would both go to jail.

Lol, that's a bit of terrible logic there.
The punishment wouldn't fit the crime, let alone YOUR crime. It's just the ultimate scapegoat.
Why should someone be forced to repay any outstanding debts that aren't theirs? They should be forced to serve time for THEIR crime, but not replace more than what was taken. Any more and it's unnecessary and excessive, not to mention cruel. It's a case-by-case basis.
Emotions tend to get in the way of things like this, but if you think about it, the victim might be looking for any easy way out of debt, when in reality, there is none. Except for death.

It really isn't that unfair. I didn't mean it seriously, but when you think about it, it isn't really an unfair punishment. Look at the name of the crime. You are taking someones identity in order to buy a big screen tv under their name. You are stealing everything they worked for and pretending to be that person. When you steal someone's identity, why shouldn't you be responsible for everything that identity has done?

Well, for starters, you don't LITERALLY steal everything about that person. Just their information. If someone steals my credit card # and buys a big screen, they should have to repay me for the tv and serve however long in jail, and nothing more. Think about it. Why ask for more when it's not needed? They didn't steal 'everything they worked for' if it was just money for a tv. They stole money for a tv, and that's it. Again, it'd be far too excessive. For me to ask that person to take care of MY debts is selfish and wrong.
Lol, you're thinking of like switching bodies or some crazy shit, lol. ~

I come up this this stupid shit all the time. It's me. But you have to admit, most of the time it is more than a tv. I have fucked up my own credit and have no one to blame. But if I was 30 working my ass off making good money while paying everything on time, and some ass comes along and starts taking out credit cards I don't know about. Resulting in me going to buy a new BMW and the loan getting denied because I owe 100,000 dollars on crap I didn't buy. I may murder the person if I found him. I just really hate thiefs and have never been one for fair punishments. Mainly becasue half the time people get off way to easy. Pedophiles should lose their dick, along with rapists... These two I feel strongly about and am dead serious on. I would make it a second offense punishment since people are sometimes wrongly convicted and that would be horrible if a man lost his man hood because someone lied.
I don't mean litterally having it cut off, there is a shot they can give men to diminish the sex drive. Making it impossible for them to get it up, which makes rape unsatisfying. I guess it helps control the urge.
